Main Goal

"Keep that feeling of vanilla minecraft but if minecraft got more updates"

 

and any mods added will avoid taking away from any of the current mechanics of minecraft or will enhance current mechanics. For example, Not making minecraft maps obsolete with a map mod that just completely replaces it or items that make diamond swords or netherite swords redundent, having better transportation, so horses become useless etc. These are things i dont want to happen in this modpack.

 

Secondary Goal

Avoid tech mods that have one block machines that do everything for you.

 

If a tech mod is included, it will have multiblock structures and will support the main goal of this pack to not take away from current minecraft mechanics. This will mean your bases will have a grand scale to them as you will need space for your machines.

 

The Third Goal (Configurable)

Add more to the survival aspect and difficulty of minecraft.

 

Adding more of a challenge in general and in exploring. As well as new tools and relics to find, to aid you in the ever increasing danger thats lurking in the shadows. I want a challenge that makes you want to play this modpack with others or in a big server in a collaborative effort. After all, its a BIG world.

 

This pack is based around the Create mod By simibubi

 

I have not made any of these mods and this is purely a collection of mods. There wasnt a modpack featuring the "Create" mod that i was happy with and so i created my own. So go support the creators if you can and enjoy! This pack has what i would call some of the best and  what i consider professionally made mods that add so much to the vanilla minecraft without straying too far from its style.

Default terrain generation is set to 2 continents. Meaning if your at the equator (warm) and you head north or south, there will be more cold biomes.

Starter Tips

Depending on your Spawn, its gonna be either really Cold or really Hot. keep an eye on the temperature at the top of the screen.

- Campfires are very useful

- Being under a shelter or in an enclosed room with a fire, will protect your from the cold and the wind.

- Cant find normal stone for a furnace? Dig past the first layers of Scoria or rock and find a cave. Pebbles and flint are all over the place, or smash up some stalactites or stalagmites. Perhaps you can create a makeshift pick.... or COBBLE together some pebbles. ;)

- Dont forget to sleep, i reckon you can go 3 days without sleep before your body really starts to struggle. You can craft travel sleeping bags or hammocks.

- Hold down Shift + right click on water to drink. Though i would recommend purifying the water first if you can.

- Clothing effects your temperature, as well as the different types.

- Underground cave systems provide Food (mushrooms), Water and Warmth (Lava) in case your desperate.

 

 

 

Notes

 

You can currently use Create to automate creating purified water from the Survive mod. I know not everyone likes the Survive mechanics and wants a more chill time. Feel free to change the config to disable certain elements or remove it entirely, if you so wish.

 

This modpack is multiplayer compatible. I have not yet set up an easy to download server file, however i will when the first official release version is ready, and i have the time. Feel free to do it yourself though in the meantime.

 

I have noticed that curseforge sometimes doesnt overwrite the config files between updates. If you see an update with the "Changes:" or "Fixed:" tag, you may sometimes, have to delete the mentioned mods config files before updating for the new config files to be downloaded. Or update to a new profile and move your world save over to the new profile.

 

This modpack requires Java 8. The new Curseforge launcher doesnt currently allow you to automatically set what java you use and it uses an old version by default. Until they add this, you have to manually select your java in the minecraft launcher when it appears. It can still function on older java, however there are issues, especially with config and keybinds.

I hope to maybe get Create fluid pipes to work more with the Survive mod, to create Radiators(Heaters), AC or Fans (coolers). If i get the time to make a support mod for it.

 

I want to add Immersive Engineering and Immersive Petrolium, however a lot of the mechanics, interfere with Create mecahnics and make the Grinders obsolete. They need custom tweaking, at some point i hope to customise the recipes. For Example:

Limiting/Removing the Crusher (replaced with Create Grinders) and Excavator multiblocks (limiting Excavator to top soil materials - Dirt,All Stone Types,Clay,Sand,Coal,Iron). For all other ore's you will need to make Create Miners.

Removing IE conveyor belts and utilising Create mechanics in IE recipes.

 

Immersive Railroading will not be added to the pack, as Create now enables you to make custom trains that can automate transport of items and fluids, with the introduction of Create 0.3.
