Spiders 2.0
Vanilla spiders are not yet creepy enough for you? You wish spiders would actually climb properly?!
Spiders 2.0 enables regular spiders and cave spiders to walk along walls and ceilings and it also improves their AI such that they can find their way around almost any obstacle.
Currently available for 1.12.2, 1.15.2, 1.16.1, 1.16.2,1.16.3 and 1.16.4!

I love this spent, an awesome moment I just had. In a fresh world I was in a world gen castle with some 2 high windows thinking I was safe, then I heard spiders. I looked up at the windows and 2 crawled sideways into the room. It was a great panic-inducing moment, and thanks for a great mod.
Can you make some client side version? Like just flipping a spider if he don't have block under him or so, cuz i really wanna play on servers with it too

Whoa. I just found this mod in the middle of the list for the Builder's Paradise 2 pack -- I was wandering through a cave and immediately found the new animation and AI on the spider tearing across the wall and floor toward me.
I have a mild to moderate phobia of spiders, and abandoned mineshafts were already bad for my anxiety, so I'm actually disabling this one because I'm very much not your target demographic here. I did want to give you a shout out for the good work though, you've definitely made them much more realistic!
Are there future plans to port this to 1.17?

Thank you so much for this mod. Truly fun. I have a 1.12.2 server, and was wondering what the spawn logic is for spiders. For some reason they seem to spawn all over the inside of my base, even though it’s lit up. Is it because they can spawn on walls and ceilings too, and those aren’t lit up enough? Would be cool if there was a setting to only let them spawn on the ground.
Though it seems more like there’s a bug as they seem to just spawn more often in general.

Hey umm, i noticed that when a spider is on a ceiling, it can't realy do anything and i use quark so crevices generate and there are lots of spiders on the ceiling and they chase me but don't do anything.
Can u make it so that IF the spider ISN'T a jockey, it can drop down from ceilings to attack you?

Firstly, this is horrifying, secondly, the mekanism flamethrower has a reason now, and thirdly, do you think that adding support for modded spiders, from mods like Primitive mobs or Special mobs, could happen at some point for the 1.12.2 version?
