Distant Ashes

A hardcore modpack with a focus on exploration and discovery (and technology) | The goal is to SURVIVE!

Distant Ashes is a hardcore experience with tons of exploration and things to do. It's mostly just trying to SURVIVE, and if you can live past like a couple days and maybe make an epic airship and a smelter; then you explore some dungeons, dimensions, make some technology, diamond plants, etc. Its intented that you can explore and do a lot. The goal is to explore and do as much as you can before you die.

It mainly features a difficult experience. All is not lost if you die, as there is a mod where you can revive dead players as long as there is someone else availible in the world (Simple Hardcore Respawn). ALSO IT HAS SPACE. I love the idea of going to space in minecraft! Maybe its just me but in my opinion, Ad Astra, is a very necessary mod to my modpack. Another couple of mods that adds to the main features are Tinkers Survival and Survivalist Essentials, which add a higher level of difficulty to the early game by disiabling vanilla tools; forcing the player to craft crude tools and Tinkers Construct tools. Eureka and Valkyrien Skies are also very important mods. They add airships to the game, which I think is just really cool!

This modpack takes inspiration from my two favorite modpacks from my childhood. Those being Blood N Bones Classic, and Race to the Moon. I HIGHLY recommend playing either of these modpacks. They are genuine certified CLASSICS. This is my first modpack so it is missing possibly many things that would make it more entertaining or interesting (or maybe easier to play in the beginning). Verious things such as quests, better configurations, optimizations, mods that may be making the game run badly, errors and bugs, etc. I have a Discord Server If you want to be a part of this project or if you just wanna hang out and find people to play. I would also love some help or suggestions on making my modpack better. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Of course every mod that is added is important to me but those few that are written up there are the few that came to mind as I am making this description currently. I want to thank everyone that makes mods and modpacks; and even those who download and play them. You all make this whole thing possible and I would not be able to work and play on such a passionate project as I have been doing... so thank you! Genuinely, thank you. I have loved learning and making this modpack, and I have never really had as much passion for working on something as I have had with this. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be able to make something that I've wanted to do and play on since I was a kid. In the end, this modpack was made with what I want to play and experience and I want to share that with you and I really hope you like it!
