Mod List:
Overview:
This is Substratum. A lightweight, 1.17-like modpack focused on multiplayer.
This pack includes custom CraftTweaker recipes meant to connect the mods for a cohesive experience. It has been balanced for a small SMP server, or singleplayer play.
There are quests, but they are mostly WIP and partially implemented at this point - they will be updated in the coming weeks.
This modpack is based around Create as the only main technology mod.
Earlygame will be vanilla-like. Players start in a village, meant to be the main hub of the server. The villages are well-defended, using Guard Villagers for defense as well as Regrowth to allow villagers to keep their own property safe and operating. More Villagers allows more opportunity to trade and thrive in the village.
Earlygame will progress into a focus on cave and dungeon delving, made much more interesting by an array of generation and cave mods, including YUNG's Better X suite and the Caves and Cliffs Backport mod. Repurposed Structures and DungeonsPlus, as well as Valhelsia Structures, means that there's always something to explore.
Early to midgame travel will be done via horses, carts, and boats, through such mods as Two Player Horses, Astikor Carts, and Extra Boats. Happy Trails rounds out the travel suite by making paths give you a speed boost, and slowing down on Sand. Later game travel is done via creating a network of Waystone's Warp Plates, or minecarts via Create.
Later game, the Nether receives updated content via Infernal Expansion and Repurposed Structures.
Along the way, players will gain access to tools such as Paragliders, the Antique Atlas, Sophisticated Backpacks, and Paxels to aid in their journeys.
Builders will be in love with the array of Decorative Blocks, Chisels and Bits, Druidcraft, and Chipped, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Technical and endgame players can get into automation via Quark and Create.
Substratum includes a mod for local voice chat.
Future Updates:
Substratum is in BETA at the moment, and the lategame, specifically the End and post-End content, are not fully fleshed out at this moment in time.
Development is rapid, so I encourage you to check back often for further updates.
Please feel free to provide feedback in the comments and on GitHub - we are always looking to make improvements.
Have fun!
