Welcome to the House Avalan Modpack!
This is a modpack originally developed and designed for our discord community, but I've decided to put it up here as i've done some work adding compatibility between a lot of the mods included.
So why should you play?
Are you super into farming? Well, this pack has tons of new food recipes, crops, and animals just for you! Are you into technology and want to build complex machinery to automate even the simplest of tasks? Well, we have reactors, auto-crafting, huge storage arrays, computers, and more! Maybe you just want to play as a wizard, spending your days enchanting or delving into blood magic...You're also welcome here and have plenty of mods to do so with.
What was the purpose of this modpack?
The purpose is to get people together. This pack is perfect for a small community. Our whole roleplay for our server is based around everyone having their own profession, and we trade goods with each other to meet everyone's needs. Start a power company, become an enchantress, farm everything! Whatever you have fun with!
We introduce a few new tweaks to the vanilla experience as well that will affect everyone's experience:
- Seasons (affects crop growth at different times of the year, and lets almost all biomes experience the weather
- Gravestones (When you die, you no longer have your items splatter everywhere)
- Better Bosses (When you fight bosses with other people, bosses scale to meet the challenge! Also, new mini-boss events will happen throughout the world during storms)
- Dragons! (Dragons, hydras, medusas, and so many more bosses to kill, tame, or run away from)
- More Biomes! We have several mods that add more biomes and dimensions to explore! If you're an explorer type, this is for you!
- Better building blocks and even new furniture! Like to decorate and build elaborately? This too is for you!
There are so many more things to explore, but I think it's better left up to you to figure out. Have fun and let me know if you notice any issues!
Please be aware: Optifine will not work with most bosses in Twilight Forest! So, if you plan on exploring that dimension, make sure to remove Optifine beforehand.
