I. F.A.Q.

Q: Does this modpack have a "Choujin X mod"?
A: No, what it has is Psi, which is meant to be used to try to recreate Choujin abilities in-game, and 220 other mods put together in order to recreate the atmosphere and setting of Choujin X — not by default, as of now, but through the player's hands, who might decide to build the modern landscape of Yamato or Gaga, or might try to use Psi to recreate Ely's smoke abilities... Minecraft is a sandbox game, after all, and limitations breed creativity.

Q: Can this modpack run on Aternos?
A: Yes, I intentionally devised the modpack so it could be played on Aternos, and it should be able to run on Aternos, as long as you keep the mods pertaining to Fabric as Client-side only and don't put them together with the Forge mods, as Aternos doesn't currently support cross-platforming. I also recommend you keep FootprintParticles client-side only, since, for some odd reason, the particles of this mod turn into a trail of weird, floating wheat item displays that follow you around.

Q: Will the menu be worked on further?
A: I would love to. However, I'm not very skilled. What I am is very lazy and stubborn, and technically I don't have much time to work on any of this... But, hey, here I am. If anyone would be so lovely as to help me with FancyMenu or any other thing regarding this modpack, I would be very welcoming.

Q: What custom content does the modpack have?
A: I made a custom main menu using FancyMenu, made a resource pack for the Netherite Glaive of Basic Weapons to look like Zora's Choujin-Slaying Sword, turned on vanilla's natural regeneration and friendly random distribution in First Aid's defaultconfigs, nerfed Carry On so it's impossible to carry spawner blocks and removed Chiseled Bookshelves' Easy Magic tooltips in the client configs. These configurations are the intended way of playing the modpack, but feel free to change them.

Q: Does the modpack have Oculus (shaders)?
A: It's compatible with Oculus, which is in the mod list, but needs to be enabled manually.

Q: Can you add this mod? Or that mod?
A: Talk to me in private and we can discuss it when I have time.

II. 'BOUT YOUR DREAM. ... YOU HAVEN'T GOT ANY?... THEN WHAT'S THE POINT OF LIVING...?

A message to the Curse Forge community and all the possible utents of my project.

This modpack is still in Beta. It does and will not contain a "Choujin X mod". Rather, its main focus is Psi, Vazkii's mod — and its capability of programming all sorts of abilities. I had a vision, the spellcrafting of Psi would allow people to make Choujin abilities. The liberty provided by this mod is what inspired me to put this modpack together.

OVERHUMAN is a modpack inspired by the universe of Choujin X, the Japanese manga series by Sui Ishida. Its publishing comes as a mean for people to explore its contents, as to enthrall new players and get their feedback and opinions regarding the modpack's functioning. Play, test, leave a comment.

I, the sole person behind putting together the modpack, appreciate the constructive criticism you might want to leave. Your input, just as your help, is important.

It is important to understand that I did not code any of the mods, resource packs and shader packs that serve as the backbone of the modpack, and that I am not the author of Choujin X.

Nonetheless, I deeply respect the work of Sui Ishida, Choujin X's author, and this same respect extends to the work that goes behind mod-making. If it weren't for the creativity and hard work of these people, this modpack wouldn't exist — the vision I had of a Choujin X-inspired modpack wouldn't exist, and my vision would be a mere vision, without each and every mod that allowed the modpack to be devised.

Apart from work of putting together the mods, my sole part in the making of this modpack was the main menu, which is naturally still a work in progress, and a small resource pack that changes how Basic Weapons' Netherite Glaive looks, just to match Zora's khopesh sword in the manga. However, the menu is not without help — I did not make FancyMenu, the song used is by AZALI, the original artwork is by Sui Ishida, and down to the sounds the buttons produce themselves, from Yume Nikki, they're not original work.



Even though I took so much from others, it is amateurish work, at best. Still, I did it out of passion, and in all humility I beg for a little patience. I am new in this community. Please be welcoming. It would be a honor for you to play my modpack, and if I will never see or talk to Sui-sensei, still a bigger honor would be to meet the amazing people behind the mods I have used. I could learn a thing or two from you. (Help me reach Vazkii, my countryman! I would love to talk to him!)
