Ride out, get rich, fall through the Earth and shoot down the Mothership.
Saddles N' Saucers wraps the Hollow Frontier mod in a bigger world and a full frontier life. Hollow Frontier is the story: living towns, black powder guns, steam tech, airships, the Hollow Earth, the Grays and an ending. This pack adds what a single mod can't: better terrain, trains, tents, furniture, backpacks, animals, sound and scenery, all picked to fit the Wild West, the steam age or the alien frontier.

The Story
Ride into a frontier town and make a name for yourself. Take bounties, drink in the saloon, bank your coins and defend the town when a gang rides in at night. A letter at the post office points you north. Build boilers and an airship, find a Polar Gateway and fall through Symmes' Hole into a lit world inside the Earth, with mammoths, terror birds and the ruins of Concavia. Then build a saucer of your own and take the fight to the Grays.
There's no quest book. Hollow Frontier's letters, Codex and advancements lead the way.
What the Pack Adds
- A wider West: Terralith and Tectonic terrain, saloons, stables, desert ruins, overhauled mineshafts, huge ore veins and cave-ins. Vanilla villages are rarer and stay clear of frontier towns.
- Life on the trail: Horseman, Call Your Horse, Mob Lassos, Simply Tents, Campfire Creations, Hang Glider, and bison and prairie dogs on the range.
- The railroad: Minecart Chain Train's steam locomotives run on the same rails as Hollow Frontier's handcar.
- Getting around: Xaero's maps, Waystones, Signpost, and Explorer's and Nature's Compass. Walk the road north or take a shortcut: it's your choice.
- Building a town: the Macaw's set, Rechiseled, Blocks You Need and Advanced Chimneys.
- Storage: Sophisticated Backpacks, Sophisticated Storage and Tom's Simple Storage.
- More to do: Field Guide, Camerapture, banjos and guitars, MineVegas Casino for the saloon, Balkon's muskets and cannons, and Prehistoric Wilds, whose dinosaurs live only in the Hollow Earth.
- The sound and sky: AmbientSounds, Sound Physics, Subtle Effects, Better Clouds, shooting stars and biome title cards. When you die, a UFO abducts you.
Everything has been tuned to work together: guns stay balanced against Hollow Frontier's, and key conflicts are sorted.
Shaders
Complementary Reimagined and Iris are included and switched off, so the pack starts cleanly on any machine. Press K in a world to turn them on, and I for the shader menu. The screenshots on this page use shaders.
Requirements
- Memory: 6 GB recommended, 4 GB minimum.
- First launch: the window takes about a minute to appear, and the game a little longer to load. That's normal for a pack this size.
Known Issues
- Bank raids: in some towns the gang's safecracker gets stuck behind the bank and never reaches the vault. The gang still fights. A fix is planned for a later update.
- Just Enough Resources: its villager tab may be empty on Minecraft 26.3.
Multiplayer
A server pack is planned for version 1.0.1, along with Open Parties and Claims.
Crashes and Bugs
Crash Assistant opens when the game crashes and can make a log link to share. Please post it in the comments.
