This mod adds new functionality to JEI. This new functionality allows the user to determine which worktables are required for each villager profession.
To do so you can use JEI's Uses key (Default: U) on an Emerald or Villager Spawn Egg and it will display a list of all Villager Professions. If you wanna know what mod added the profession you can hold shift to make it display the mod id in front of the profession.

Does this mod support modded villager professions? (ie professions from other mods - vampirism, beekeepers for example)

It does indeed, that was the main reason for the mod, finding out which modded villagers use which table

Yup, if you look at the uses of emeralds, it will allow you to see a JEP tab which shows you all the workstations villagers can use

i did install the jep,but neither atm6 nor my test modpack looking at the uses of emeralds only shows the trade,not the professions
hey, question, I had this exact mod commissioned a while back (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/jei-professions) and I was wondering if you got the idea from this mod? i originally came up with the idea, so some sort of credit would be nice, if you got the idea from there

Didn't even know that mod existed. I got the idea from ShyNieke and I when playing Modded and she couldn't remember what workstation was for which profession.

ah okay, yeah, I had this idea a while back when I realized that many mods added in professions and there was usually little to no documentation. Looks like the idea was great! the guy I got to make it didn't maintain it though

That is exactly the same though I had when I told bysco "Please make a mod that allows me and others to see what things villagers need for their professions" I really did not know such mod was already out there... but hey I can promise this one will be maintained :D and sorry that it may have looked like we stole your idea, I can really tell you that that is not the case

I had the exact same issue, and than having mods that add new villagers and than trying to guess what they use was difficult for me, hence why this is now a thing :D
