What's new

Horizon Make Your Shopping List

This update focuses on two things: Updating Cobblemon to the latest version and slightly reworking the economy system.

First off, the new Cobblemon update: Make Your Move. You're now able to encounter alpha Pokémon, as well as craft TMs in just base Cobblemon. This means SimpleTMs has been depracated in this update. You can still use the items from the mod, but you won't be able to obtain them. This will allow players to either convert their TMs and TRs into Cobblemon TMs, as well as recycle the items back into their crafting ingredients. The mod will be removed in a future update.

Second, the economy system has changed. Numismatic Extractors have given too much money and have gone broke. They're no longer "buy" items into spurs and cogs, but instead now act as the shops of the Horizon. Right clicking Numismatic Extractors will open a list of available shops, where you can spend you hard-earned money. To earn money in the pack, you will now have to use the Envelope mod and ship off your good to companies that are willing to buy. Most items also are now permanent in the shop instead of cycling daily. Some quests are now also able to unlock new items in the shops and even new shops. This means the daily shop block has also been depracted and can be recycled into some materials. The mod will also be removed in a future update.

Another part of this update are a few building blocks, some big names like Steam 'n' Rails and Supplementaries.

A few more noteworthy things are:

  • (Almost) all of the custom food suggested by the community is now in Horizon
  • Sodium has finally been updated so you might see some performance improvements

Other

  • New resource pack screen thanks to Packed Packs. You're now able to drag packs around and create and load profiles
  • The Daily Shop has been replaced with Society Trading for a cleaner shopping experience
    • Numismatic Extractors no longer give out spurs and cogs
    • They offer a wide variety of shops now
    • Every Numismatic Extractor now opens a shop selector screen instead of their extractor screen
    • Items have been grouped together into various shops
    • Some items are permanent while others cycle daily
    • Every item that was previously sold in the Daily Shop still appear in the new shop system
    • New items have been added to the shops
    • Numismatic Extractors are still fond of apples
  • Daily Shops can be recycled by sending them to "Horizon Quality Control" using Envelope
    • Daily Shop will be removed in a future update
  • As Numismatic Extractors no longer sell items, you have to ship your items to companies that are willing to buy them using Envelope
    • D.D.H. Dwarves are willing to buy ores you send them
    • Scale-Catcher Trading buy any fish you fish up with a Starcatcher's Rod
  • The Cobblemon 1.8: Make Your Move update is now on Horizon, adding the ability to craft TMs (pretend you couldn't do that before) and Alpha Pokémon!
  • With the addition of TMs in base Cobblemon, SimpleTMs has been completely deprecated. You can send their items to "Pokémon Laboratory" using Envelope to recycle them
    • Any TMs and TRs with moves will be converted into equivalant Cobblemon TMs
    • Blank TRs will be converted into Cobblemon Blank TMs
    • Blank TMs will be converted into Cobblemon Blank TMs, alongside an Upgrade and either an Echo Shard or Netherite Block
    • TM Cases, TR Cases and TM Machines will be converted into their crafting ingredients. TM Machines will return a TM Case and TR Case which can be sent to Pokémon Laboratory again
    • The TMs and TRs are still useable however, so feel free to still use them on any of your Pokémon!
    • SimpleTMs will be removed in a future update
  • Alpha Pokémon broadcast a message when they spawn
  • Tera Shards and Type Gem Blocks can now be haunted for 10% Stellar Tera Shard (blocks give 4)
