NOTE: This modpack is DISCONTINUED.
Introducing Plus, a Forge modpack designed to make survival Minecraft even more enjoyable. Originally designed to turn Minecraft into a Wild West game, I decided to add extra mods to improve the survival aspect as a whole.
For people like myself, I don’t enjoy heavily modded Minecraft, where the only mods which I enjoy are those which stick to the vanilla feel, however, I could not find a modpack which provided the experience which I was looking for.
So what exactly does Plus offer? Plus features mods that overhaul the world generation in the overworld and end, changes to portals (courtesy of immersive portals), and makes survival Minecraft more realistic.
Mod explanations (not including mods that are required for some to work):
Advanced Compass: Added to give players a better sense of direction without having to open the F3 menu.
Animalium: Only added for brown bears and wild dogs.
Antique Atlas: Added to give players a map without always taking up part of the screen + having a Wild West theme.
Back Tools: Just a visual change.
Better Zoom: Added to allow you to zoom in to things at a distance.
Better Caves: Vanilla caves are a little bit boring in my opinion, so I added BetterCaves to improve mining.
Better End: Added to give players a reason to explore the end for something other than an Elytra and Shulker shells.
Better Foliage: Added to make trees look better (this can be removed for better performance).
Better Mineshafts: Added to work with BetterCaves to make mining better.
Borderless: Added to give you a windowed option (replaced standard fullscreen)
Bountiful: Added to give players more reason to explore and earn rewards in game.
Bow Infinity Fix: Added so you don’t have to carry an arrow when your bow has infinity.
Comfortable Nether: Added for a slight nether expansion.
Controlling: Added to let you search specific keybinds.
Ding: Simple mod which plays a sound when the game / world loads.
Double Slabs: Added for more building possibilities.
Dynamic Surroundings: Added to give the world a more alive feel.
Dynamic Trees: Added to make tree cutting more realistic. Trees will now fall over when you mine a block.
Edit Sign: Allows you to edit signs instead of breaking them.
Enchantment Descriptions: Adds descriptions for all vanilla enchantments.
Immersive Portals: Added to make the transition between dimensions effortless.
Infernal Expansion: Adds extra nether mobs.
Just Enough Items: With custom items added you may need to search the recipe on the go.
MCW bridges/roofs/doors/fences/windows: Added to give players more variety.
Music Player: Added for players to play their own music.
NoFog: Added so you can see far when running at low render distance.
Notes: The ability to take notes midgame.
Offhand Combat: Added so players can use their offhand for combat (just cool attacking with two swords).
Performant: Added to hopefully boost performance when running the mod.
Serene Seasons: Added to add... seasons, making the world feel more alive.
Sound Filters: Added to make sounds more realistic (echos in caves, muffled sound in water, etc).
Subterranean Wilderness: Added to work with BetterCaves and BetterMineshafts to make caving better.
Shoulder Surfing Reloaded: Added for a better third person perspective.
Terraforged: Added to make world generation better (make sure to select it in the world type settings).
ToughAsNails: Added to add a water bar for players to monitor their thirst as well as hunger.
Two Players One Horse: Allows two players to ride on a horse at the same time.
Upstream: Adds wider rivers to the world when playing with normal world generation (may not work on Terrforged worlds).

Most of these mods are available for 1.12. Will it release for 1.12?
As of now there isn't going to be a version for 1.12, however, if the modpack becomes popular and people are wanting a 1.12 version I will happily make one.
Known Issues:
- Wild Dogs and rats from the Animalium mod spawn in the end and occasionally the nether (this will not be fixed as it is just a "slight" issue that shouldn't be too annoying)
- Performance based mods (such as Chlorine) will cause the game to crash whilst opening. To fix this all you must do is remove the immersive portals mod.
- The Curseforge launcher will probably say Antique Atlas has an update. Do NOT update it. It will cause the mod to break as it will replace the Forge version with the Fabric version. It will work perfectly without an update.
- Body Temperature not working in ToughAsNails. This is something that the developers have said will not be returning until 1.17 releases.
This mod was created on a gaming laptop with an RTX 2060, 16GB RAM, 10th gen core i7. FPS rates will vary based on the specs of your PC / Laptop. I recommend allocating more RAM to the game before playing it for better performance no matter what specifications you have.
Please also take note that this is my first time making a modpack. Some things may work, some may not. I will be trying my best to fix any issues that appear along the way so please be patient with me 😄
Will there be a 1.17 version?
Most likely not. With 1.18 not being too far away I'll likely wait for that to release before I update this modpack. This is half down to the fact I'm currently busy atm, and half down to the fact half of the mods in this modpack haven't released a version for 1.17 yet. I'm also looking at potentially making a modpack that does the complete opposite to Plus, and changes almost every aspect of the game, giving it a more RPG like feel.
Will there be a Fabric version?
There probably will be. I'm becoming more of a Fabric user, and it seems like most of these mods are becoming available for Fabric so chances are I will be working on both a Forge and a Fabric version of this modpack in the future, but not for 1.17.
