Manufactio Reforged

Factorio in Minecraft – the classic Manufactio modpack, rebuilt from the ground up for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge).

Manufactio Reforged is a faithful remake of Manufactio for Minecraft 1.12.2 by Golrith, made with his permission. The quest book, the research tree and the progression of the original are kept 1:1 – the factory just runs on a modern version now.

What is it about?

You crash into a world where nothing works by hand for long. Torches cannot be crafted, mobs grow stronger, and every step forward has to be researched. Research is done by crafting science packs and handing them in to the quest book, just like in Factorio. Each research unlocks new machines, materials and recipes for your whole factory.

• 387 quests in 20 chapters – the complete original quest book, in English and German
• 222 research stages – items, machines and multiblocks unlock step by step through research
• Ore fields instead of ore veins – find deposits with the Ore Scanner and the Seismic Reader map, then put down Burner Drills (2×2×2) and Electric Drills (3×3) to mine them automatically
• Oil fields – find oil with the Dowsing Rod and pump it up with the 3×3×3 Fluid Pump, later with deep Pumpjacks
• Inserters and transport belts in Factorio style, underground belts and splitters
• Modular assembly machines – Basic, Standard and Advanced Assemblers, Chemical Plant, Oil Refinery, Boiler, Steam Turbine and more, with speed, efficiency and productivity modules
• Pollution – every furnace, boiler and drill emits carbon, sulfur and dust. Smog spreads with the wind, poisons the ground and makes breathing hard. Filters, respirators and pollutant pumps keep it in check
• Aliens – pollution attracts alien nests. They evolve over time and send attack waves at your factory. Every 7 days a horde arrives on top of that
• Military research – guns, armour, turrets and ammunition production to defend what you have built
• Space – rockets, the Moon, Mars and beyond for the late game
• Loot crates – every quest gives a reward, many of them random loot crates of different rarities

Requirements

• Java 21
• 6 GB RAM recommended for the client (8 GB for large factories), 6–8 GB for a server
• A server pack is available as an additional file of every release

• The quest book is your research screen – open it with the book in your inventory or the quest key.
• Hover over an item to see which research stage unlocks it.
• Language: English and German (quests, items and tooltips).
