This is a mod pack that I've put together myself over the last couple months for my server (open to the public: jackit.kicks-ass.net:420).
I'm not a huge fan of making massive, drastic changes to the base game so this pack revolves around expanding the vanilla game in intuitive and creative ways while doing my best to balance difficulty and any new/additional gear's power levels. I basically see it as how Minecraft should've been.
A short-ish list of highlights include being able to tame and breed a bunch of different vanilla passive mobs (including newly added dragons!), a massive amount of decoration blocks added including bridges, doors, walls, furniture and building blocks, added redstone tech/features, many quality of life mods to make your life easier (backpacks, larger/decorative storage solutions, gravestones to name a few), many new biomes for all dimensions, and a whole new dimension with many new creatures, bosses, quests, items and building blocks (Twilight Forest). I highly suggest going through the individual mods' descriptions/wikis from their respective links below to get the full picture of all newly added features.
Note: It is important to use this mod pack with Rubidium and Oculus (included by default in the mod pack) for optimal game performance and FPS. Optifine is NOT supported.
Additionally, any issues related to using this mod pack with Optifine will not be supported.
Warning: Small edit in the in-game config is required for this mod to work properly with Carry On, otherwise your character will be bugged out when trying to pick things up using Carry On! On the main Minecraft Menu screen (before logging into a server or joining a single-player world) press on the "Mods" button. On the left search for/find "Inventory Profiles Next" and press the "Config" button at the bottom left. Click on the "Locked Slots" tab on the upper left, and change the option labelled "Pick Items Directly Into the Inventory" from True to False (by clicking on it). You can then play the game as normal!
Known Issues
There are very few issues that I've encountered so far, and the ones that I have found are minor at best. Having said that, if anyone notices any other issues, please open a post on the issue tracker and I will do my best to have it resolved ASAP.
Twilight Forest: Fiery Sword doesn't render in hand when using shaders. Not sure what exactly the issue is, working with the mod authors to try and resolve/figure out where the issue stems from. Likely a mod/shader issue but I will update when I know more. The sword still functions as it should though, and is still usable.
Here's the full list of mods and libraries used in this mod pack. Note that some of the files used in the mod pack aren't up-to-date with the current versions, this is intentional for mod compatibility. Update them at your own risk:
Carry On - See note on Inventory Profiles Next compatibility below, this is important!
