RealCryCraft is an Ultra Hardcore Vanilla++ Modpack, aimed to make Minecraft fun again.
This modpack makes every aspect of game progression harder.
Create a New World and start collecting wood. Easy.
Next, progress to Stone Age.
Do you want to go mining? Without armor? Without a ranged weapon? Without light?!
Good luck in the caves, where it's pitch black, full of mobs.
I forgot to mention... Every time you die, you lose one heart. But don't worry too much, there's ways to regain them, and then some.
You have obsidian and you want to go to the Nether? Well that's too bad, because Nether Portals don't work anymore. You need to find a Nether Rift.
Oh, and bring your best gear with you. You will need it. And some gold... blocks. Oh, and look for some dark-blue beacon lights. That's your new portal.
What about the End, I hear you ask? Well, there's some changes to that as well.
I'll only say this: normal Eyes of Ender won't help you. But enough exploration will get you on the right path.
One thing is important though...
This is ULTRA Hardcore, not just Hardcore.
When you create your World, don't set it on the Hardcore Difficulty.
Go to World Options and turn off 'Natural Regeneration' when you create your World.
This isn't about losing your World on Death. It's about regretting your decisions and finding ways to get back on your feed. Again. And again. And again.
If anything... this modpack should receive the name RealLifeCraft...
Modpack details:
1. Built on Minecraft's 1.16 Nether Update
2. World Generation:
- Biomes o' Plenty adds beautiful new Biomes to the Overworld, as well as the Nether.
- Terraforged lets you create amazing world generation, even with default configs.
- Quark adds fun, Vanilla-style features, as seen here.
- YUNG's Better Caves and Subterranean Wilderness adds huge and dangerous caves, similar to the 1.17 Caves and Cliffs update.
- YUNG's Better Mineshafts adds beautiful, dangerous, biome-equivalent mineshafts, full of loot, spawners and more.
- YUNG's Better Portals replaces the normal, boring obsidian portals, with world-generated Nether Rifts.
3. Quality of life:
- JEI lets you search items' recipes. A must-have mod for any modpack.
- Quark with it's 100+ tweaks and features.
- Charm for more diversity and Quark-like features.
- Xaero's Minimap provides a powerfull, lagless map toll with waypoints, so you'll always know where was the Dragon that one-shot you.
- Simple Storage Network for all you lazy, nasty people that forget where they left their items.
4. Variety:
- Ice and Fire adds a bunch of new mobs for you to get killed by, with the false hope that, one day, you'll tame a Dragon.
- Tinkers Construct adds changes to creating tools, making them more useful and unique.
- Spartan Weaponry adds a bunch of new weapons for you to panic-spam on mobs that will one-shot you anyways.
- Pam's Harvestcraft 2 (full package) for all you little farmers out there. Dabbling into this will be very rewarding tho.
- Omni adds amazing blocks and features for builders.
- Architect's Palette adds amazing blocks for builders.
- Savage and Ravage adds and changes features and mobs from Minecraft's Village and Pillage update.
- Hunter Illager adds another way for you to die while exploring.
- Guard Villagers makes raids even more cruel for you while adding a way for Villages to defend themselves. Provided you're weak and unable to do it.
5. Cry
Alongside Ice and Fire, YUNG's Better Mineshafts and YUNG's Better Caves FILLED with spawners and mob boxes (from Quark), making mining a living nightmare, the modpack also includes:
- Total Darkness which does exactly what it sounds like. Good luck mining.
- Unhealthy Dying which takes a HP Heart every time you die, except when you'll only have one.
- Progressive Bosses makes stacking Beacons, Dragon Heads and whatever else you might do with bosses, just a little bit more challenging.
- Scaling Health makes killing stuff increase your difficulty, which scales mobs' HP and Damage. It also gives you 5 Hearts instead of 10.
- Serene Seasons makes you wonder why aren't your crops growing.
6. Please help
This modpack is not all torture. There are a few mods that help you scale:
- Scaling Health also drops Hearth Crystal Shards for you to consume in order to increase your Max HP.
- FTB Ultimine lets you spend as little as possible down mining and breaking blocks in general. It costs hunger and tool durability, of course.
- Apotheosis lets you bypass the Lv30 enchantment limit, effectively making you stronger through enchantments.
- Scuba Gear can be obtained from Drowned and, of course, enchanted.
- Miner's Helmet lets you kinda see where you step while caving.
- Spice of Life: Potato gives you bonuses (+MaxHP, speed, resistance etc.) for variety eating. Yet another bonus for farmers...!
- Comforts lets you quick-sleep anywhere without setting the respawn. You can also skip to night, you masochist.
- Valhelsia Structures adds some amazing structures that can be used as starting bases. Consider yourself lucky if you find one.
- Sisser gets rid of creeper grief. They still blow you up. They just leave your buildings be.
- Brazier is a very hard to obtain structure-like item that prevents mob spawns in an area, without the need of light.
Important:
Set your "natural regeneration" to OFF when you create a new world. Don't be a sissy.
Additionally, use Quark Realistic as the world generation type.
Lastly, SoL:Potato should have it's last 'milestone' at 500. If not, copy the solpotato_server config file, from 'default configs' folder, to your world save config folder (serverconfig).
For more info, check Relations. You'll see ALL the included mods.
