Description

Simple Adventure

Routes. Ruins. Legends.

An exploration and combat modpack where the journey is the adventure.

A ruin beyond the hills. A coastline you have never followed. A boss you are not ready to face鈥攜et.

Simple Adventure expands Minecraft with new landscapes, discoveries, formidable encounters, and the freedom to choose your own path. Build a refuge, prepare your supplies, venture into the unknown, and come home with a story worth remembering.

Version 1.4 路 Minecraft Java 1.21.1 路 NeoForge 路 Java 21

Discover a world worth exploring

  • Venture farther. Discover expanded biomes throughout the Overworld, Nether, and End.
  • Follow the unexpected. Explore villages, ruins, and structures that give you a reason to leave the main road.
  • Face memorable threats. Prepare for challenging encounters, powerful bosses, and dangerous expeditions.
  • Set sail. Explore oceans with ships, diving equipment, and underwater discoveries.
  • Make a place to return to. Gather materials, organize your gear, and build a home between adventures.

There is no single route through Simple Adventure. Explore carefully, pursue difficult fights, or simply see where the next road leads.

What's new in 1.4

Your own Field Journal

Carry, craft, and open the Field Journal to keep a record of your travels.

It includes 16 exploration and boss challenges, tracked automatically as you play. Completing a challenge triggers a visual notification and a sound, while progress is retained for the relevant player and world.

An independent Explorer's Guide offers advice on travel, shelter, and the dangers ahead.

Both books feature manuscript-inspired interfaces, paper tabs, and curved page transitions. Their chapters and field notes can be customized for the modpack.

These features are powered by Sanctuary Progress 1.6.1, a companion mod developed specifically for Simple Adventure.

A medieval-inspired interface

Version 1.4 introduces a cohesive medieval visual identity, combining warm stone, parchment, and aged brass across the interface.

Highlights include:

  • Redesigned main menu, options, pause screen, and inventory resources.
  • Fifteen rotating menu illustrations.
  • Subtle particles and atmospheric transitions.
  • Original menu music and interface sounds.
  • Expedition tips during loading.
  • Custom death screen animations that preserve Minecraft's native respawn and hardcore controls.

A world that feels alive

Ambient soundscapes and footsteps add depth to every environment.

Dynamic lighting follows your equipment, water wakes bring motion to the surface, and zoom helps you inspect distant landmarks.

The original Minecraft water textures remain untouched.

Performance-minded foundations

The pack integrates optimization components including Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ModernFix, and C2ME.

Performance depends on your hardware, graphics settings, and world complexity. No specific frame rate is guaranteed.

Sanctuary Progress 1.6.1

Its content includes:

  • Sixteen automatically tracked challenges.
  • Player and world progression tracking.
  • Custom manuscript-style book interfaces.
  • Challenge completion notifications.

Shader support requires an appropriate compatible loader. Performance and compatibility vary by system.

Data packs

Additional compatibility integrations for included gameplay content.

Updates and compatibility

Simple Adventure is an evolving project. New releases may introduce additional exploration content, interface improvements, balancing adjustments, or compatibility updates.

Before installing a new version:

  1. Back up your existing worlds.
  2. Review the changelog for the release.
  3. Use the complete modpack profile instead of mixing configurations from different versions.
  4. Report reproducible issues with your game version, modpack version, and relevant logs.

Some visual and interface mods are client-side components and should not be installed on dedicated servers unless their authors explicitly support that environment.
