WORLDGEN:
Worldgen doesn't matter too much, I would either use the Premade Kitchen world that I have already made, including a kitchen, farms, and even a bit of competition, or use default worldgen.
COOKING:
In order to find recipes, I suggest using JEI, and if you can't find you recipe there, use the mod's wiki page (the blue words under the item title is the mod it comes from).
