Description

TWMCP - What is this? TWMCP stands for Two-Week Minecraft Phase.

This pack is built for that classic Minecraft itch. Those stretches where you want to jump back in, play for a bit, make some progress, and not feel like you need to commit to a massive long-term world. Or alternatively, a pack that you'll be able to get the full Minecraft experience in a slightly expedited time.

This pack is for you if:

  • You like vanilla Minecraft but want less grind
  • You play in short sessions or occasional phases
  • You want a cozy, low-stress experience that still feels like Minecraft

What is in TWMCP? The goal with this pack was to stay grounded in vanilla Minecraft while adding just enough new content and quality-of-life improvements to keep things from feeling stale after 17 years. (We’re getting old, man.)

You’ll find a solid amount of QoL features that smooth out common frustrations, a handful of carefully chosen new content additions, and enough performance improvements to make a noticeable difference without turning the pack into a Sodium soup.

Key new Features I wanted to add enough new stuff to play around with to make the game feel newish and give me something to do, but I also didn't want to overload the pack new content I'd never really interact with. Maybe as I play and replay this pack a couple times when the itch hits and as new mods are made, there may be new major updates and/or a 2.0 version in the future. Honestly, I may also be open to requests and feedback as well.

For now, the main new features/mods/content I'd like to highlight are:

Optimizations There are also, in my opinion, a solid handful of nice Quality of Life mods as well as some performance tweaks too. The notable ones will also be listed below:

QoL:

Performance:

Why I like this pack Honestly, I'm a bit of a Minecraft purist. Larger packs like Cobbleverse, Prominence II, and DeceasedCraft are truely amazing at showcasing the knowledge that these folks have to make these modpacks, as well as all of the awesome stuff that Minecraft can be used as essentially a host for, like a a Pokemon-style open-world game, huge adventure RPG, or a zombie apocalypse overhaul game, but honestly when it comes down to it: When I launch Minecraft, I want to play Minecraft.

These huge packs are awesome, but when I get in the mood to play Pokemon, I play Pokemon. When I want to play a zombie game, I'll boot up Black Ops 3, Project Zomboid, or DayZ. When I want to build a cool base, do a little farming, do a little mining, and then kill a flying dragon in a different dimension, I launch Minecraft. That's what this modpack is meant to lean into. Good ole' fashioned Vanilla Minecraft that everyone knows and loves.

I also have worked either two jobs or one job that makes me not want to play video games after work for most of my adult life, so when I get the itch to play a game after work or during my weekeneds, I want to be able to enjoy all of it and not just be stuck gathering resources for a day or worrying about getting the mending villager I needed in order to comfortably use my tools. Is speedrunning a thing? Sure, but I also want to be able to enjoy my playthrough at a relaxed pace too.

I know this pack may not be for everyone, but if you enjoy a casual or cozy Vanilla playthrough, you'll likely enjoy giving this pack a try. If you do like it, come say hi and hang out in Discord!

Need a server? If anyone here is looking for a server, I personally highly suggest BisectHosting. They have great hardware, an easy-to-use control panel with a ton of nice features, and great support. I also have an affiliate link with them, which you can find here: https://www.bisecthosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=7407 (If you send them a link to this modpack and ask them to install it for you, they likely will.)

Now, I know things costing money sucks. If you are looking to port-forward and self-host, I highly, highly suggest checking out either MC Server Soft or making a server within ATLauncher.

Whichever method you decide to use to host your server, I'll do my best to try to include a drop-and-play serverpack of this modpack as well, just to hopefully make your lives easier.

Credits Please feel free to share this pack with your friends, and honestly, if you want to use this as a template to try to make your own modpack, please feel free! The only thing I ask is that you try your best to credit myself and/or the other mod authors mentioned later on in this section. Many many versions ago, this pack / the idea of this pack actually started out as a modified version of The Vanilla Experience by Serilum the goat, so a big thank you to them.

I also wanted to give a big shoutout and thank you to u/BiC_MC for providing the image I've used for the menu/icon of the modpack.
