Castoreum is a small, lightweight modpack intended to preserve the feel of Vanilla Minecraft while being able to add small improvements. If you find something in a new world and say, "Is this from a mod?" then you've found the purpose of this pack.
The bulk of the pack is comprised of performance mods, small improvements, and optional features like shaders support and controller support. A small handful of mods on the list (namely Create & Alex's Mobs) are included because of the rich content they add to the base game. (I just couldn't resist)
