Requires Proto Core and Proto LFG + Chat

The CurseForge app installs them with it. Manual setup needs all three.

I'm actively adding features, fixing bugs and testing it live myself. Feedback, comments and bug reports are all welcome, and a screenshot of any Lua error helps a lot. I hope you enjoy it!

Sell enchants and services without the busywork: prices, auto-replies, trades, adverts and sales history, all in one window. Press K to open it. Part of the Proto family (shown as ServiceShop in the game).

New in 3.3.6

  • Weapon DPS: after a Striking or Impact enchant, your enchant line in party says the weapon's DPS before and after (Settings > Shop)
  • Their mats: "Your mats left" is said once, when they're used up, and only enchanting mats count (on by default)
  • AH profit for Alchemy, Tailoring and your other professions: what each recipe sells for, less the AH cut and mats (press K, click the profession)
  • Boss fights: ads and replies wait for the fight to end, then post (on by default)
  • One minimap button for every Proto addon: left-click Home, right-click Settings
  • /proto ss for ServiceShop's commands (/sshop still works). Needs Proto Core: the CurseForge app installs it

Sell enchants

ServiceShop answers your customers and does the thinking for you:

  • Auto-replies: customers whisper !menu, a slot (!bracer) or link an item, and get your enchants and prices
  • Targeted replies: someone asks for "stam to boots" and gets that enchant and your price, not your whole menu. Work in progress: this takes many rounds of common requests, spelling mistakes and shortcuts to get right
  • BiS lists: customers whisper !bis for the best enchants for their class and role, priced for the lot, and !mats for what to bring
  • One-click enchanting: when someone trades you, their enchants show beside the trade window. Click one to enchant
  • Bring your own mats: mats customers trade you are tracked and used first
  • Prices and profit: mat cost, price and profit for every enchant, with Auctionator or ServiceShop's own AH scan. Your other professions show what each recipe sells for on the AH, less mats
  • Upgrade offers: right-click a party member or a name in chat to see what you could enchant for them, and offer it in one click
  • Popular enchants: see which enchants players near you wear

Enchanting Window

Open Enchanting: tick what you sell, set prices, see your profit.

Trade window with BYOM Match

Someone trades you: their order beside the trade window. Click to enchant.

BYOM (Bring Your Own Mats) Mode

The mats they traded, what's been used and what's left.

Sell anything

  • Custom services: summons, portals, carries, anything. Each gets its own keywords, reply and advert
  • Adverts: post to several channels at once. Click Ads
  • Auto-invite: customers whisper inv for an invite
  • Close in dungeons: your shop closes itself in dungeons and reopens when you leave

Custom Services

Click Custom services: your services on the left, the editor on the right.

Ad Popout

The Ads window: tick channels, click an advert to post it.

Your shop at a glance

  • Home page: your professions, customers from the last hour, takings and a shortcut to every page
  • Sales history: today, this week and all time, plus disenchants and customer mats
  • Works in combat: the window stays open in a fight

Home page

Home: customers, takings, your shop's switches and shortcuts to every page.

Sale History

Click History: sales with today, 7 day and all time totals.

Disenchanting

  • Shift-right-click gear in your bags to disenchant it. Items in an equipment set ask first
  • Tooltips: what an item disenchants into, the odds and what it's worth
  • AH deals: gear worth more disenchanted than its buyout. Click AH Deals at the auction house

Disenchant Value Tooltip

Hover an item: what it disenchants into, the odds and its value.

Auction House Deals

AH Deals: cheap gear to disenchant for profit, and essence flips.

Commands: /proto ss, /proto ss help (/sshop still works). /proto lists every Proto command

All screenshots taken with ElvUI.

Developer's Notes

ServiceShop started as EnchantShop, a simple enchanting assistant. I added a trade chat filter so I could find people looking for enchants, kept building, and it became ServiceShop. Then the chat side grew into a full LFG tool, and I wanted it to be useful for players who don't enchant or sell services, so I split it into ServiceShop and Proto LFG + Chat.

While naming LFG + Chat I came up with Proto: short for protocol, and the proto-drake. That's the name for everything going forward. You'll see a lot of changes as I go. I'm building it out based on what works for me.

The suite is now five addons: Proto Core (the core and shared libraries), Proto LFG + Chat, ServiceShop, Proto Threat and Proto Tools. The foundation is rebuilt, and more addons will be built on it.

Underneath is a message bus, Proto Link. It lets shops talk to each other, gives players with the addon extra information, and handles addon messages globally, to your party or raid, or to one player.

Any new addon built on Proto Core can use it. That means someone running Proto Link for the LFG tool can add value for someone using it for something completely different.

New with this release: Proto Threat and Proto Tools.

Proto Threat combines threat plates (without replacing your favourite nameplates) with a threat meter. I've tanked for a long time using damage meters, threat meters, threat plates and ElvUI, so I'm building it around what simplifies and improves on what every good threat meter already does, not another copy of Details. Group members running it share their threat and big moves: taunts, Feign Death and the like, including resists. Blizzard locks addon messages during boss fights, so sharing works on trash and in the open world, not on bosses.

Proto Tools is a set of tweaks and tests too small for their own addon, for now. For example: auto-tracking that switches between herbs, ore and humanoids.
