Description
Know when the stun that just hit you will be ready again. Every stun, fear, silence, root or interrupt that lands on you starts a countdown for that ability on a small, movable bar, so in a battleground you can see what the other side has already spent.
WoW Forever hides most of what other players do from addons. Forever Simple Cooldowns times what the game still lets it see and says plainly where that stops.

What it does
- A timer for everything that hits you. Hammer of Justice, Kick, Counterspell, Polymorph, Psychic Scream, Intercept, Scatter Shot, engineering grenades and the rest of 143 bundled spells.
- One icon per use. Two Hammers of Justice in a row show as two icons side by side, so you know two paladins have used theirs.
- Short tooltips. The spell, its estimated cooldown, and a reminder that the caster is hidden.
- Your group's and your own cooldowns too. Set a bar to group, player or all to time the casts of your party, raid or yourself that the game shows.
- Yours to set up. Several bars, category filters, sorting by time left or priority, where each bar shows, your own cooldown times per spell, and saved configurations you can export and share.
What it cannot do, and why
These limits come from WoW Forever itself, not from the addon. The game marks other players' information as secret, and addons can show a secret value but cannot read or compare it.
- It cannot tell who used a spell. The game does not say who cast an effect on you, and in battlegrounds every enemy player's identity and class are hidden from addons. Each timer means "someone on the other team used this", never a name.
- It only knows what lands on you. Enemy casts are hidden: in our battleground tests not one of 251 enemy casts was readable. Enemy buffs are hidden in combat too, so a Blink, trinket or potion an enemy uses on themselves cannot be timed.
- It cannot see what hits your teammates. Debuffs on your group are hidden during a match: only a handful of about 28,000 were readable in our tests.
- No combat log. Cooldown trackers used to read the combat log; WoW Forever closed it to addons on purpose.
- Timers are estimates. They use each spell's base cooldown. Talents, gear, or a use on someone else before it reached you change the real time.
Earlier versions tried to guess the caster from the enemies nearby. In battlegrounds the game hid all of them, so the guesses were wrong and the addon stopped guessing. The What the game shows page shows which of the bundled spells your game version lets addons see.
How to use it
Type /fcooldowns or open Options → AddOns → Forever Cooldowns. Three pages: Forever Cooldowns, Abilities and What the game shows. Unlock to move lets you drag each bar, size it by its corner and change it from its gear; Show on screen plays sample timers for 20 seconds.
Works better with
These addons are optional. The Forever Simple PvP addons are made to run side by side in battlegrounds:
- Forever Simple Battleground Timers: Every battleground countdown as a bar: bases, flags, the gates and your next resurrection.
- Forever Simple Targets: Every enemy and ally in a battleground in class colours, with health bars and the flag carrier; click a name to target that player.
- Forever Simple Spy: Enemy players near you, with alerts, a Nearby list and kill-on-sight watchlists.
- Forever Simple DR: How far each crowd-control category has diminished on enemy players, on your target and their nameplates.
- Forever Simple Battle Map: Your battle map key opens a flat, resizable battle map with flags, graveyards and your group.
- Forever Simple Enemy Buffs: Enemy buffs as a row of icons on their nameplates, in fights too, with presets and a filter for every kind of buff.
Feedback: bugs and ideas are welcome in the comments. Include a screenshot or the steps, and your class.
