Description
Forever Simple Spy lists the enemy players around you in a compact, class-coloured window, warns you when one turns up, and keeps Kill on Sight and Ignore lists with your own notes. Click a name to target that player. In game it is listed as Forever Spy.
What it shows
- Nearby. Enemy players the game shows you through nameplates, your target, mouseover, focus and your group's targets, with level and class. They stay on the list for two minutes after you last saw them (you choose how long).
- Last Hour, Ignore and Kill on Sight. The arrows in the title bar switch lists; History keeps every player you have met, searchable by name.
- Alerts. A short on-screen alert and a sound when an enemy appears, with separate sounds for Kill on Sight players and group reports. Every sound can be changed and previewed, and recorded sounds ship with the addon.
- Notes. Right-click a row to add a note or a Kill on Sight reason; tooltips show when and where you last saw them.
- Group reports. Party and raid members who also run Forever Simple Spy share their sightings, shown separately so they never count as yours.
- Battlegrounds. Classes come from the scoreboard, because the game hides enemy classes there. Turn on Quiet in battlegrounds to keep listing enemies there without the window, alerts or sounds.

Clicks
- Left-click a row: target that player. Shift-click: Kill on Sight. Ctrl-click: Ignore. Right-click: notes and list actions.
- The game freezes click-to-target buttons in combat, so rows keep their players until the fight ends; new enemies still appear in alerts at once.
What Forever does not allow
The game gives addons no combat log and no way to list players it does not show you, so Forever Simple Spy only sees enemies your client already shows: there is no radar, no hidden or stealthed-player detection and no distance. Showing a name does not promise you can target that player.
How to use it
- Settings are in Options → AddOns → Forever Spy (or
/fspy), with a second page for detection sounds. - Drag the window by its title out of combat, or lock it. The gear on its title bar has quick settings for detection, group sharing and the window, and the settings pages preview the alerts and the window. Chat messages turns off its chat lines.
- Commands include
/fspy show,/fspy kos <name>,/fspy ignore <name>,/fspy stats,/fspy reportsand/fspy help.
Works better with
These addons are optional. The Forever Simple PvP addons are made to run side by side in battlegrounds:
- Forever Simple Battleground Timers: Every battleground countdown as a bar: bases, flags, the gates and your next resurrection.
- Forever Simple Targets: Every enemy and ally in a battleground in class colours, with health bars and the flag carrier; click a name to target that player.
- Forever Simple DR: How far each crowd-control category has diminished on enemy players, on your target and their nameplates.
- Forever Simple Cooldowns: Enemy cooldowns from what hits you: one timer per use.
- Forever Simple Battle Map: Your battle map key opens a flat, resizable battle map with flags, graveyards and your group.
- Forever Simple Enemy Buffs: Enemy buffs as a row of icons on their nameplates, in fights too, with presets and a filter for every kind of buff.
