Description
Slate HUD
Beta. An early build of Slate: expect bugs, you can report them on the Discord.
Slate HUD draws parts of Minecraft's own HUD in Slate's look: the hotbar, the status effects and the held item's name. The experience bar is the game's own on a ground in Slate's tones, and hearts, armour and hunger stay the game's icons. Every part keeps the game's place and size, so what other mods add to the HUD stays in place. With Slate's Vanilla style the HUD is the game's own.

Hotbar
- A plate with a well for each slot. The selected slot is ringed, and the ring glides from slot to slot.
- The off-hand slot and the attack indicator are drawn in the same look.
- The held item's name shows on a small plate, in its rarity's colour.

Experience bar
- The game's own bar with only its background recoloured to Slate's tones. The green filling and the level are the game's.
- A mount's jump bar is treated the same way.

Effects
- Each status effect has a plate where the game has its frame, helpful effects in the upper row.
- A line along the plate's foot runs out as the effect does, and turns amber for the last ten seconds.

Settings
- Every part has a switch, and one more gives the whole HUD back to the game. A part that is off is drawn by the game.
- Health, armour, hunger, air and a mount's health can each be switched to a bar in Slate's look. They are off unless you switch them on.
- The switches are under Options > Interface > HUD with Slate Config, and in
config/slate/hud.jsonwithout it. - A part another mod draws is left to it: Better Inventory's hotbar, and with the bars on those of Overflowing Bars, Colorful Hearts and Classic Bar.
