What's new

  • Boss bars are in Slate's look: the game's own bar on a ground in Slate's tones, the boss's name on a pill. The colour that fills a bar, its notches and its place on the screen stay the game's.
  • New, off unless you switch it on: a pickup feed. A short line at the right edge of the screen for what you pick up or are given, with the item, its name and how many. More of the same add up in one line, and experience has a line of its own. Options > Interface > HUD > Pickup feed (suggested by Iammaliikk).
  • Both have a switch of their own (bossBar, pickups in hud.json).
  • A boss bar that another mod draws itself stays that mod's: with Enhanced Boss Bars the bosses it knows keep its art, and the other bars are in Slate's look. With Pick Up Notifier installed the pickup feed is left to it.
  • New, off unless you switch it on: health bars over creatures. A bar in Slate's look over the head of each monster (or every creature, or only the one you aim at), only while it is hurt unless you choose otherwise; the creature you aim at and those you just hit always have theirs. Hidden behind walls as the creature is, and it grows with the distance so it stays readable. Options > Interface > HUD > Health bars (suggested by Iammaliikk).
  • New, off unless you switch it on: damage numbers. How much a hit took, on a small pill that rises from where the hit was: the hits you deal, amber for a critical one, and the hits you take in red. Optionally also what creatures nearby do to each other. They read what the server already tells the game, so they work on any server (suggested by Iammaliikk).
  • New, off unless you switch it on: a compass strip at the top of the screen, with north in the accent. It shows the places Slate puts on your maps (homes, warps, the spawn, your team's home) and, with Xaero's Minimap installed, your Xaero waypoints; the one you face names itself with its distance. It moves under the boss bars when there are any (suggested by Iammaliikk).
  • New: a crosshair editor. Slate's crosshair in five shapes (cross, cross and dot, dot, ring, T) with your colour, arm length, gap and thickness, a dark rim or the game's inverting look, and a live preview over five grounds in the settings. Off: the game's own crosshair. The attack indicator stays the game's (suggested by Iammaliikk).
  • New: any part of the game's HUD (the hotbar, the hearts, the experience bar, the effects, the held item's name, the boss bars, ...) can be hidden completely (Hidden parts, among the advanced settings of the HUD tab).
  • New: sizes for the health bars and the damage numbers, and the compass' width and how far down it stands.
  • With Health Indicators or Health Indicator TXF installed the health bars are left to them, with Health Indicator TXF also the damage numbers, and with Dynamic Crosshair the crosshair (while "Leave parts to other mods" is on).

Slate modules need the Slate Core of their own version: update all of them together.
