Description
Slate Discord Bridge
Beta. An early build of Slate: expect bugs, you can report them on the Discord.
Slate Discord Bridge is a Discord bot that joins your server's chat to Discord channels, both ways. Players are posted under their own name and face; Discord messages show in the game with role colours, replies and pictures. Players need nothing installed.

Both ways
- Chat,
/meand/saygo to Discord under each player's name and face, and so do joins, deaths and advancements. - Discord messages show as
[Discord] Name: wordsin the member's role colour, with replies and links to click. - With Slate Chat, pictures and GIFs show as cards; without it, as a link to open.
- Team chat, whispers and muted players stay in the game.

Setting it up
- Make a bot on Discord's developer page, switch on Message Content, and put its token and the channel id in
config/slate/bridge.json. - Hosting from your own game: paste the token in Slate Config.
- The token is never sent to players or written to the log.

When something is wrong
/slatebridge statussays whether it is connected and what is wrong with each channel.- A dropped connection comes back by itself, waiting longer each time it fails.
/slatebridge selftestchecks the bridge against a fake Discord.
