The 43rd Flying Bundle

Modpack for the 43rd Clan's Minecraft Server

What is The 43rd Flying Bundle?

This modpack consists mostly of Quality of Life improvements for a Vanilla+ experience.  Additionally, some more complex mods have been added to provide experiences not typically expected from Vanilla, but not overly complicated to where they fundamentally change the basic feeling of the Vanilla game.

I have tested mod compatibility on a previous version, version 1.19.2, manually.  The plan has always been to compile this modpack for use with 1.20 specifically, but it is fully useable in 1.19.2.  A 1.19.2 version of the pack has been created and will be maintained with less frequency, but the main focus is compiling all of the 1.20 versions of the mods as they are updated to 1.20.

This modpack is available as two separate downloads.  The Client version is for use directly through the CurseForge Launcher.  The Server version includes html files linking each mod directly to be used by the modded server.  I am including the Server version for anyone who wants to run their own modded server using this modpack.

The following details which mods are only included in the Sever and Client versions, respectively.  After that is a non-exhaustive summary of the mods included in both versions.  An exhaustive list can be found on the Google Spreadsheet.

Server:

Clumps - Combines XP orbs to help reduce server lag.

Fast Leaf Decay - Get those leaves outta here faster and keep your players engaged.

Login Protection - Prevents players from dying for a short period of time after login or dimension change.

Nether Portal Fix - Come out the portal you went in.

Client:

Optifine is recommended, but not currently available.

Architectury API - API required for Light Overlay.

Better Advancements - Improved Advancements screen UI to make modded Advancement pages easier to navigate.

Cloth Config API - API required for Light Overlay.

Iceberg - Library required by Item Highlighter

Item Highlighter - Indicates which items in the inventory have recently been picked up.

ItemLocks - Prevents you from accidentally moving items in the inventory.

Light Overlay - Gives an indication of the spawnability of hostile mobs based on current light level.

Polymorph - Cycle between items for crafting recipes that have multiple outputs.

Both:

GUI mods to improve overall accessibility.

Expanded decorative block and item options.

Food and farming expansions.

Vanilla-styled Vehicles and Guns.

Additional mobs.

Improved village generation and structures.

Lootr.

Straw Golems.

Plushies.

Botania!

Waystones!

Gravestones!

Tinkers' Construct is expected to have a 1.19.X release in the near future.  If a 1.20 release is also finished it will be added to the list.

No mention of any expected updates to MrCrayfish's Vehicle Mod, but it is, in my opinion, the only vehicle mod that feels anywhere close to Vanilla.  If a 1.20 release shadow drops, it will also be added to the list.

Adding Silent Gear did not go over too well within the server, so it has been removed from the main file.  A fork has been created that retains the mod.  It will also be maintained alongside the main file.

Just kidding!  The modpack does not work without Silent Gear if Silent Gems is still present.  Silent Gems and Silent Lib work fine by themselves if they are the ONLY mods installed, but otherwise they typically cause issues.  Server never finished initializing without Silent Gear, and Client would only launch sometimes.

For server owners:

After launching the server for the first time, run the following commands in the command prompt or in game, if you so desire:

/gamerule playersSleepingPercentage 35

/scoreboard objectives add Hearts health

/scoreboard objectives setdisplay list Hearts

Complementary Reimagined is recommended as a shader for its compatibility with PureBDCraft, which is also recommended.

Neither is required.

If you opt to use PureBDCraft, the Google Spreadsheet has links to patches for all mods that contain compatible texture patches.

NOT ALL MODS HAVE PUREBDCRAFT PATCHES.  If you are okay with a mixture of vanilla style textures and PureBDCraft stylized textures, then I highly recommend using it.
