THIS IS A BETA PRE-RELEASE PORT BUILD MEANT FOR TESTING. IT IS NOT FULLY COMPLETE!
Please help us in the endeavor of bug squashing! If you find an issue or crash, PLEASE REPORT IT! Ensure it's not a duplicate however!
Happy Hunting!
A proper Change Log will be written for the actual Release.
Changes since last beta (or version, rather!):
- blocks are receiving texture updates as we speak. A lot of them are already in the mod, so please enjoy the wonderful work our artists have done.
-- if you don't like the new textures for any reason, we package a legacy resource pack where you can use all the old textures and models. This actually fully works now in this version!
- fiery, arctic and yeti armor prevent freezing
- Quest ram rewards now sit in a bundle (minus the horn)
- hollow hills will no longer spawn as perfect, smooth hills, some unevenness will be applied to them
- mixed rooted and coarse dirt into cave ceilings
- TF plants now have proper hitboxes, rather than taking up a full block
- added baby skeleton druids: they will only spawn on swarm spiders. Your worst nightmare.
- added skull candles! right click a vanilla head to add a candle to it. You can light them, put them out, add up to 4, and pick them up with silk touch to keep the candles on it! The inventory model and a tooltip will also reflect how many candles it has if picked up. Skull candles can also support player skins, and can be lit with a dispenser!
- made thorn roses able to be placed anywhere
- Added stone pillars! a new decorative block designed for the lich tower rework. Addicting to play with
- added canopy bookshelves and empty bookshelves! Beautiful decorative blocks for your house
- added death tome spawners! A canopy bookshelf that spawns a certain amount of death tomes before turning into an empty bookshelf. This block can be heavily configured so you can do what you want with it!
- added firefly particles to many of the forest biomes. The hope is to create a more calm atmosphere and add more life to the dimension
- added a firefly particle spawner! So you like the new particles, eh? Well now you can add this effect to your own home! A new craftable jar which has a configurable block radius that spawns firefly particles. To change it, add or remove fireflies from the jar. The max radius is 10. Bring you house to life!
- added the ability to harvest torchberries from torchberry plants and ripe trollber, finally
- torchberries are now edible! While they don't restore any hunger or saturation, they have a chance to make you glow! Useful for finding your friends when playing together.
- added potion flasks! These flasks come in 2 different versions, brittle and greater. Brittle will shatter after it becomes empty after being filled. Greater is unbreakable. Potion flasks fold 4 kinds of one potion, so it allows for easier storage of all the potions you may find in the lich tower!
-- Please note: these are NOT obtainable in survival yet. They will be part of the reworked loot in the lich tower rework.
- you can now climb up root strands and bonemeal them! Bonemealing can happen on any part of the plant, and will grow downwards by 1 for each bonemeal used. Once it touches the ground it'll stop accepting bonemeal.
- liveroots can now be stripped, leaving behind a root block and giving you a liveroot.
- changed how dark leaves function. Dark forest trees have remained the same, hard to break with a high blast resistance. However, if you grow a darkwood tree, the leaves will decay and can be mined faster with a hoe! They still have the same strength and blast res as the other ones though, but it should be easier to farm darkwood now!
- updated TF leaves to use the azalea leaf sounds, as its so much nicer.
- added the ability to pick up e115 slices off the ground. Just shift right click it with an empty hand to pick it up. Doesn't work on regenerating ones.
- Beanstalks will now poke through clouds, and will leave a nice air pocket to allow for easier climbing.
-- beanstalks will also ignore blocks that are blocking them so you wont get random beanstalk discs. However they will still stop if they hit a cave wall or ceiling
- uberous soil will now sparkle if a player is holding magic beans, to indicate to use them there.
- added wooden banisters! Every builder's dream block, go make some fancy rails or something idk
- added kobold pacification. Throw a piece of bread to a kobold to pacify it for a short time
- mangrove leaves are now waterloggable
-removed the ability to enchant scepters
- phantom armor can now refuse enchants in a certain tag
- added TF banner patterns! craft a trophy with a piece of paper to make a banner pattern for that boss!
- added candelabras! These fancy candle holders can be placed on walls and floors. Can also be lit with a dispenser.
- added new wells! Theres also a fancy well variant that has a chance to replace a normal well, with unique loot!
-- basic wells also have a new loot table
- made beanstalks axis rotatable
- added recipes to turn waterlilies into magenta dye, and thorn roses into red
- fixed lifedrain scepters targeting armor stands
- added TF music discs! You can now play all your favorite tracks from the comfort of your own home. These discs are randomly scattered throughout the TF, good luck finding them...
- redid knightmetal tool bonus damage.
-- if an entity is wearing armor, deal 2 additional damage
--- for each additional piece of armor, deal 1 more damage
-- the axe will only work if the target has no armor of any kind. This includes internal armor values! So the axe wont deal the bonus on zombies.
- structures will now properly bury and deform terrain in a nice way. No more strange square edges around the naga courtyard!
- added vanilla and TF mob interactions!
-- Cats and Ocelots will attack Dwarf Rabbits, Squirrels, and Tiny Birds.
-- Foxes will attack Dwarf Rabbits and Squirrels.
-- Wolves will attack Dwarf Rabbits, Squirrels, and Bighorns
- banned enchants from moonworm queen, ore magnet, and the lamp of cinders
- added a toast system to remind people that a biome is locked. This will hint to check your advancements. This toast will show up once after entering a locked biome then wont until you enter a new locked biome.
- cicadas will now shut up when theyre removed from the world
- added custom TF stats! The current stats are:
-- bugs squished
-- uncrafting table interactions
-- trophy pedestals activated
-- e115 slices eaten
-- torchberries harvested
-- blocks crumbled
-- charms of life activated
-- charms of keeping activated
-- skull candles made
-- fortification shields broken
- added a way to lock TF portal creation behind an advancement! this is configureable via config, and is off by default.
- added mangrove roots!
-added a couple new advancement triggers!
-- twilightforest:drink_from_flask: you need to define the amount of doses and what potion you need to drink. Currently has to be done in 8 seconds or less
-- twilightforest:kill_bug: must define the bug. happens when a player squishes a bug with a projectile (anvils dont count! I cant read the player that placed them, sorry!)
- bugs will no longer die on your head
- when bugs die their guts will spray everywhere. Gross!
- seeker bow now prioritizes hostile mobs, and wont try to target things it couldnt possibly hit, like mobs behind walls
- added cicada jars to worldgen. They will rarely replace firefly jars on trees and lampposts.
- added a method to get quartz in the TF! It has something to do with the dark tower...
- added TF wood chests! craft them by surrounding any other chest with the appropriate plank type to get 2 of them. These all have very unique textures!
- fixed moss to make it like how it was in 1.7. The shape is now always random and will connect to other moss blocks nearby. This also apples to clover patches.
- added hollow logs! These work as normal logs with placement but can be filled with various things! Horizontal ones take Snow, moss, grass, and can even be waterlogged! Vertical ones can take vines and ladders and can be waterlogged!
- progression advancements will grant to every player who participated in the fight. Even if you die and respawn at home, as long as the boss took damage from you, you wills till gain the advancement! Hopefully this will help servers out.
- the lich will absorb mobs in a tag now. This used to be hardcoded but can now be configured.
- completely redid fallen log generation! They can now generate with hollow logs, some versions are biome exclusive, and some will now generate on water, either sunken or floating! Sunken logs will generate sea grass instead of moss on top.
- legacy entity models are finally supported! changing to the legacy pack will now properly show the old entity models.
- castle brick runes will now glow without the need for CTM
- added a more flexible system to the uncrafting table! You can now disable certain recipes, items from being in recipes, or items from being uncrafted. Recipes are a config option, while the other 2 are tags.
- new enchantments! There are 5 new enchantments, all being loot exclusive. They are:
-- fire react: has a chance to set the attacker on fire when worn. Incompatible with chill aura and thorns.
-- chill aura: has a chance to apply frosted to the attacker. Incompatible with fire react and thorns.
-- Preservation: for the block and chain. Allows for the block and chain to only be used as a weapon, disabling the ability to break blocks. Incompatible with Block Strength and Destruction.
--Block Strength: allows the block and chain to break stronger blocks. Tier 1 allows you to break mazestone, and tier 3 allows you to break castle bricks. (this may change in the future!) Incompatible with Preservation and Destruction.
-- Destruction: allows the block and chain to break larger areas of blocks. Incompatible with Preservation and Block Strength.
- TF bosses will now place a chest containing their loot when killed. This change also allows looting to work on the ur-ghast!
- added JEI support for uncrafting recipes (thanks Jodlodi!)
- fortification shields now have a timer in between breaks. It follows the same rule as attack cooldown works on the player.
- added custom particles to each boss spawner, making them more unique.
- ice bombs can now be shot from dispensers
- projectiles can now break burnt thorns
- Fixed hundreds of bugs introduced in the port and from previous versions. We try our best to get this mod working as well as we can. Please help us out!
