Gears Beyond the Horizon Additions

The custom gameplay companion for Gears Beyond the Horizon, for Minecraft Java 1.20.1 and Forge 47.4.10.

Explore a deeper underground, discover abandoned camps and mysterious notes, brew custom potions, upgrade equipment with runes, grow mushrooms on logs, keep machinery active with chunk anchors, and help villages through optional delivery requests. Includes vanilla-style improvements to equipment and exploration.

Installation

This is the gameplay companion, not a complete modpack. Install on both client and server. Do not also install the individual custom component JARs: their original mod IDs are already included here. Back up existing worlds before testing.

Compatibility and beta status

Cave compatibility data are generated locally from the original installed mods and checked against the tested versions. This companion does not redistribute their full structure definitions or buildings. Shader and resource packs are handled separately.

The 27 components retain their registry IDs and are packaged using Forge Jar-in-Jar. Three isolated full-modpack server checks pass; a complete production client and visual validation remains pending. Dungeon Now Loading 2.2 has a known unreadable upstream garhold_cage structure; this companion does not repair that room.
