Forever Simple Quests

A slim quest helper. It shows you where your next quests are and where to do the ones you have, and leaves everything else to Blizzard's quest log, tracker and map.

Quest givers on your maps

• A yellow ! on the world map, continent maps and minimap marks every NPC or object with a quest you can pick up right now. Repeatable quests show a blue !.
• Quests that start from an item, such as Sharptalon's Claw, put a ! with a small gold sack on the creature or object that drops it. The tooltip names the item.
• Hover a mark for its quests and their level ranges, each in its difficulty colour. Click it to set Blizzard's waypoint there.
• Grey quests are hidden unless you want them. Shift-click a mark to hide a quest you never want to see.
• Alt-click a quest the giver does not offer yet to mark it red.
• Givers who walk a route get a ring, and their patrol route shows on the world map.
• Locked quests (off by default) adds a violet ! with a padlock for quests one earlier quest away, names that quest, and leads you to it.
• Quests missing from the data are learned the first time you pick them up, and marked for every character after that.

Your quests on the map

• Quiet icons show where to work on each objective you have not finished. There is one look per kind of task: creatures to kill, creatures that drop what you need, objects to gather or use, people to talk to, and places to go.
• A yellow ? marks whoever takes a finished quest back.
• Hover an icon to see what to do there and the quest's progress. Click it for a waypoint.
• Each quest gets its own colour, so you can tell one quest's marks from another's.
• The icons also show on Forever Simple World Map's explorer map.

Less clicking

• Auto accept and hand-in: quests are accepted when offered, and finished quests are handed in when there is at most one reward to choose. Hold Shift (or the key you choose) to skip it once.
• Auto track zone quests (off by default) tracks the quests for where you are. Inside a dungeon it tracks only that dungeon's quests.
• Abandon grey quests clears every grey quest from your log with one button.
• Remember collapsed tracker keeps the objective tracker collapsed after a reload.

Settings

• Everything is under Options → AddOns → Forever Quests.
• Type /fquests for the options and every command.

These addons are optional. Install any of them alongside this one for more:

• Forever Simple World Map: Its explorer map shows these quest givers and objective marks, with the same clicks as on the world map, and its quest log shows level ranges such as 18-21.
• Forever Simple Square Minimap: Minimap marks and patrol routes stay inside the square edge.
• Forever Simple Settings: /fquests opens these options in its big, resizable window, even in combat, instead of the game's small Options window.
