EverDo

EverDo is a to-do list for every character on your account. Tasks can be set to Daily, Weekly, Season, Expansion or one-off, and resetting tasks come back on the game's own reset timers rather than a schedule the addon has to guess.

What it does:

One list. Add a task with the + in the title bar, or right-click anywhere in the window for Add Task and Add Category. Click a task's checkbox to check it off.

Categories, as deep as you like. Right-click a category to add a task or a subcategory inside it, or use Move Category to move it. Click a category header to collapse or expand it. Categories with nothing left to do hide themselves.

Daily, Weekly, Season, Expansion or one-off. Right-click a task or category to set it. Daily and Weekly tasks come back at the game's daily and weekly reset. Completed Season and Expansion tasks stay checked until the next season or expansion.

Every alt. Click the title to see any character's task list, or All Characters with each task's owner named.

Shared tasks. Tasks added while viewing All Characters are shared: they show in every character's list, and checking one off anywhere checks it off everywhere. Tasks added in one character's list belong to that character. Right-click a task and use Assign To to change it.

Drag to reorder. Drag tasks between and into categories, and categories before or inside one another. A line or a highlight shows where it will land.

Favorites and descriptions from the right-click menu. Favorites get a gold bar at the left edge and sort first; a description sets tooltip content when you hover the task.

Dynamic Tasks (WoW Forever, beta)

Off by default. Turn on Enable Dynamic Tasks (Beta) under the gear for a character and EverDo adds what that character can do next to the bottom of its list:

• Training as it becomes available: class spells and ranks ("Level 6: Learn Holy Light"), weapon skills, armor, riding, and recipes and rank upgrades for the character's professions. Hover one for its cost, trainer, zone and coordinates.
• Milestones: "Learn a Primary Profession" until it has two, and "Buy a Mount" / "Buy an Epic Mount" at the riding levels.
• Recommended Dungeons around their level range ("Dungeon: Wailing Caverns", or "Raid: Molten Core")
• Recommended Zones once you are within level range the game suggests ("Explore Westfall", 8-24)
• Each dynamic task automatically goes away once learned or done.
• EverDo learns from every trainer you open on any character and shares that across the account, so tick Unavailable in a trainer's filter to let it see upcoming training.
• Show Upcoming option to list what unlocks in the next few levels.
• Right-click a dynamic task to Hide it on that character, or, once it's available, to favorite it or Move Task into a category. Show Hidden Dynamic Tasks under the gear brings them back.

Beta: Dynamic Tasks were built during the WoW Forever beta and haven't been tested at every level yet. A task may not appear, or not clear when it should; Right click -> Hide removes a dynamic task that's stuck.

Commands

• /ed (or /everdo) - list all slash commands.
• /ed show - opens or closes the list.

Key binding

• Key Bindings > AddOns > EverDo > Toggle EverDo.

How it stays current

Daily and Weekly tasks reset on the game's own reset timers, read live from the client, so a region's reset day and time are always right and nothing needs updating when they change. Season and Expansion tasks key off the season and expansion numbers the game itself reports, so a new season or expansion is noticed the moment the game announces it. A check stores when it happened, so tasks you checked on one character show correctly from any other, even after a reset passes while you're logged out.

Notes

• Your list is saved account-wide, so every character sees the same categories and any shared tasks.
• A task can only be checked off with its checkbox; clicking the rest of the row does nothing, which leaves the row free for dragging.

Known limitations

• Dynamic Tasks are in beta (see above).
• English language only.
• A character appears in the menus only after logging in once with EverDo installed.
• Season and Expansion tasks are Retail only; WoW Forever has neither.
• Deleting a task is immediate and can't be undone.

Compatibility

• WoW Forever (1.60.1 beta) and Retail (12.1). Each game keeps its own separate list; nothing is shared between them.
• No dependencies and no embedded libraries.

Describe what you did and what happened, with a screenshot if it's visual, and include any Lua error text. Note which game version you're on, Retail or WoW Forever.
