BuffButtons

BuffButtons makes an action button glow while the buff its spell gives is on you, with the time left counting down on the icon. There's nothing to set up, and it works in combat, in dungeons and in raids.

What it does:

Glow and countdown on the button. Press Trueshot and its button glows until Trueshot ends, with the seconds ticking down in the middle of the icon. The number grows larger for the last ten and five seconds, and it's all gone the moment the buff ends.

Potions, trinkets and other items too. An item on a bar glows while the buff its use gives is on you, including a trinket under a /use 13 or /use 14 macro.

Your color. White by default; /bfb color for gold, green, blue, purple or red.

Icons on the spell that spends a buff (Beta)

Off by default; /bfb dots on turns it on.

• Cast Multi-Shot and get Trick Shots, and a small Trick Shots icon sits along the top edge of Aimed Shot and Rapid Fire until Trick Shots is spent.
• Several buffs a spell spends show side by side, and a buff with two or more stacks shows its count.
• English clients only.

Commands

• /bfb - list all slash commands.
• /bfb on, /bfb off - turn the glows on or off.
• /bfb color - the glow and countdown color.
• /bfb dots on, /bfb dots off - the small buff icons on the spells that spend them (Beta, off by default).
• /bfb consume - list the buffs and spells linked for those icons; add a buff id and a spell id to link a pair by hand.
• /bfb link - add a spell id and a buff id to set a spell's buff by hand.
• /bfb forget - forget everything learned.

Notes

• The glow and countdown are drawn over the button; Blizzard's buttons are never changed.

Known limitations

• Only EllesmereUI's action bars and Blizzard's own are supported. Other bar addons, such as Bartender, Dominos or ElvUI, get no glow.
• While a buff runs, its button doesn't show the spell's cooldown.

Compatibility

• Retail (12.1.5).
• No dependencies and no embedded libraries.
