EasyFind: Notes Extension
Write it down where you play. A note for a boss, a player, a place or an item that shows up on their tooltips, a checklist ticks itself as you play, and a shopping list counts what is already in your bags. Every note is a search away in EasyFind.
Requires EasyFind. It is listed as a required dependency, so the CurseForge app installs it alongside. If Notes came with your EasyFind before 5.0.0, your notes and settings are kept.
Notes that know where they apply
- A note for a place, an activity, a class, your target or a player: it shows in their tooltips and on their names in chat, or opens by itself when you get there.
- A note tagged for one of the game's windows (the Auction House, a merchant, the bank) opens with that window.
- Ctrl+Right-click any item or spell for its note.
Checklists the game ticks for you
- A line ticks itself for an item count, a quest, a reputation, gold, a level, a skill, a lockout or a cooldown, and clears on the reset you pick: daily, weekly or your own.
- Tick any other line by hand.
Shopping lists
- Type item names and each becomes an item with a count; a line ticks once your bags hold enough, and an Add item line under the list starts the next one.
- With the Auctionator extension, each line shows what is left to buy at its price and the list its total, and the list is an Auctionator shopping list too.
- At the auction house, Ctrl+click a line to search it.
Windows of their own
- Each note in its own window, as many as you like, with bold, colors, lists and item links.
- Reminders, tags in any color, a trash with undo, and notes shared as a link in chat.
Works on retail, WoW Forever, Classic Era, TBC Anniversary and Mists Classic.
How to use it
- Type a note's name in EasyFind's search bar, or
@notesto list them all, and click one to open it. - Open Notes from EasyFind's extensions menu or with
/notes. - Right-click the + button to start a checklist or a shopping list.
