EasyFind: HandyNotes Extension

Search HandyNotes' treasures, rares and vendors from EasyFind by name, loot or zone, and get direction's there.

EasyFind: HandyNotes Extension

HandyNotes and its plugins put thousands of pins on the map: treasures, rares, vendors and more. This extension makes them part of EasyFind's search. Type a treasure, a rare, what it drops or where it is to find it; with the EasyFind: GPS Navigation Extension, a click gives you directions there.

Requires EasyFind 4.3.0 or later and HandyNotes. Both are listed as required dependencies, so the CurseForge app installs them alongside. The pins come from the HandyNotes plugins you have installed.

What it adds

Every pin your HandyNotes plugins show, found by name in any search.
Search by what a pin is, what it drops or where it is: "decor durotar" lists the decor vendors in Durotar, "ek decor" those in the Eastern Kingdoms, and an item's name finds the rare that drops it.
No doubles: a pin EasyFind already lists (an NPC, a vendor, a flight master) shows once, as EasyFind's own result, with the plugin's note and loot in its tooltip.
Hover a pin for its plugin's tooltip, what it drops, its zone and coordinates.
Click a pin for directions with the EasyFind: GPS Navigation Extension. Without it, retail puts the game's map waypoint on the pin.
Shift-click links the pin's spot in chat (retail).
Pins are found from EasyFind's map tab too, and from the EasyFind: GPS Navigation Extension's window, where a route there ends on the pin's own icon.

Works on retail and WoW Forever.

Nothing of HandyNotes' or its plugins' is copied into this addon: it reads the pins as HandyNotes' own map does, so a new plugin or an update shows up in the search as soon as its pins are on your map.

How to use it

Type a pin's name, what it drops, or what it is with a zone ("treasure isle of dorn").
Type @hn to list the pins on your map.
The filter menu's HandyNotes row turns pins on or off in the search, with two switches: Hide done (pins their plugin marks complete or collected) and Near me (only pins on the map you are on).
The HandyNotes tile in EasyFind's extensions menu opens the pin list.

Pairs well with
