DandyMap 1.4.14
What's new
DandyMap 1.4.14
October 17, 2026. Changes since 1.4.13; Existing saved settings are retained.
Experimental automap
- Added an optional faint, click-through map for questing while moving. Toggle it with Alt+M or the Toggle Automap action in WoW's Key Bindings. It starts off.
- Choose Faint Terrain, Outlines, Discovered Parchment or Blizzard Parchment. New choices default to Outlines and All Quests. Existing preferences stay selected.
- Set independent opacity, zoom and size. Move or resize it in Edit Mode, and optionally fade it while moving or in combat. Add a thin border or soft edges.
- Show native quest markers and objective areas, with quest focus and overlap controls. Party members and supported rare locations have their own optional filters. Offscreen guidance uses the current destination's usual arrow artwork.
- Hold Alt to inspect markers, select a quest, pan or zoom. Release Alt to return to the player and let clicks through. Ctrl+Alt-left-click places a map pin. Optional quick controls provide styles, filters, quest focus and recentering.
- Quest markers and areas load even when the automap opens before the main map. Saved-enabled startup is click-through without needing an initial Alt press.
Settings and map markers
- Organize settings in expandable sidebar categories, with dedicated Automap and Map Filters pages and matching menu groups.
- Match the default map's larger, outlined player arrow. Keep the opening player ping larger and underneath the arrow. Custom player icons are retained.
- Match quest-marker colors to Blizzard's quest-title difficulty, including completed quests. Normal yellow quests retain native gold artwork.
- Keep each quest circle and its three dots together when markers overlap. Ordinary-map quest locations remain visible without an overlap-hiding option.
