Press Esc. Pick GATHERING YIELD. Get more from every boulder, tree, catch, bush and harvest.
In-game yield sliders for Mining, Woodcutting, Fishing, foraging, farming and wild plants in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Spend less time hauling stone, logs and herbs, and keep the drop tables exactly as Jagex made them.
Why you will want it
- A real in-game menu. One overall slider plus one per gathering type, from 1.0x to 10.0x, built from the game's own menu pieces so it looks like it belongs there.
- Right in the pause menu. Press Esc and GATHERING YIELD sits between Settings and Exit, in the game's own button style. No function keys needed, so it works on any keyboard or laptop.
- Your rate, skill by skill. Mining x3 for a big build, Farming x2, Fishing left alone? Your call.
- More of the normal drops, nothing new. A boulder that gives 14 stone gives 42 at 3x. No new items, no changed loot tables.
- Instant. A change applies while you drag, and it is saved for next time when you close the menu.
- Junk stays junk. Weeds, net junk and the seeds you get back from farm plots are not multiplied.
What it covers
- Mining: boulders, ore and everything that drops when a node breaks.
- Woodcutting: felled trees and split logs.
- Fishing: your catch. Junk from the net is left alone.
- Foraging: berries (redberry, dwellberry) and wild cabbage, onion and potato you pick. Food you cook at a campfire or station is never multiplied.
- Farming: crops you harvest from your farm plots. Weeds and the seeds you sometimes get back are not multiplied.
- Wild plants: flax, herbs, mushrooms and swamp tar, the plants that give no XP when you pick them. Branches, loose stones and other ground items are not multiplied.
Each one has its own slider. Leave a slider at 0 and it follows the overall rate.
Install
- Install UE4SS for RSDragonwilds (free, from the UE4SS for RSDragonwilds page on Nexus Mods)
- Drop the
YieldSliders folder into RSDragonwilds/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/
- Launch the game, load into a world, press Esc and pick GATHERING YIELD. Close the panel with CLOSE or Esc.
On Game Pass: use the BE version of UE4SS with the SCO signature, the normal build does not load there (thanks JourneyOver for testing). Game Pass also installs the game under Binaries/WinGDK/ instead of Binaries/Win64/, so the YieldSliders folder goes in RSDragonwilds/Binaries/WinGDK/ue4ss/Mods/. If you use a mod manager, check that is where it ended up.
To uninstall, delete the YieldSliders folder.
With Mod Menu installed, every setting is also under Esc > MODS.
Prefer a text file?
Every setting also lives in config.txt inside the mod folder. Edit it with the game closed.
Everything doubled:
Multiplier = 2.0
Lots of stone, double crops, fishing untouched:
Multiplier = 1.0
Mining = 3.0
Farming = 2.0
The other per-skill lines are Woodcutting, Fishing, Cooking (foraging) and Plants.
F9 also opens the panel as a shortcut. Pick a different key, or turn the shortcut off (the pause menu entry always works):
MenuKey = F7
MenuKey = none
Leave the pause menu untouched:
ShowInPauseMenu = false
Good to know
- Gathering only. The mod only counts items that land in your inventory right after you gather them, and never while a menu is open. Chests, crafting and trading are not what it is looking for.
- Leftovers picked up later count as normal. Once the few seconds after your last swing have passed, loose items you collect are not multiplied.
- Extra items are real items. They weigh the same and save with your character. At high rates, watch your carry weight: over the limit, the game stops pulling in drops.
- Full bags. If the extra does not fit, the part that fits is added and the rest is skipped (noted in UE4SS.log). Nothing is dropped on the ground.
- Solo or host. In co-op it boosts the host's own gathering. If you join someone else's world, your copy does nothing.
- Works with XP Sliders. Run both for more XP and more resources. Tested together, and both sit in the pause menu side by side.
- Rod fishing works too. At 3x every rod catch gave 3 fish; junk and bait are left alone.
- Not tested yet: gathering spells such as Rocksplosion.
- Fails safe. If something ever produces an absurd jump in one moment, the mod switches itself off for the session and says so in UE4SS.log.
- Works on Steam and Game Pass. On Game Pass, use the BE version of UE4SS with the SCO signature (thanks JourneyOver for testing).
- Not sure it is running? UE4SS.log shows a line starting with
yield active.
How it works
The game's own "extra resources" stat (from the Skills Necklace) is only a small chance, and it cannot be raised by a script. So Yield Sliders does not touch it. A few times a second it counts your inventory. When a stack grows right after you gather (a swing, a boulder breaking, a tree falling, a fish caught, a bush or plant picked, a crop harvested), it adds the extra through the game's own inventory, so pickup banners, stacking and saving all behave normally. No game files are changed.
Tested on RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 in a real save: whole boulders at 2x and 3x, a felled and split ash tree, net fishing, rod fishing at 3x, redberry bushes, farm harvests of cabbage and potato, flax, herbs, bittercap mushrooms and swamp tar, cooked food and branches staying unmultiplied, the slider menu saving to config.txt, and running alongside XP Sliders.
