Solo's Restingly

A challenging mod-pack centred around Create+, adding unique armours and its own progression with many tweaked recipes. Slower progression, balanced muskets, thirst, and Farmer’s Delight make early planning important for your journey towards the End.

Overview

I have built Solo’s Restingly as a more challenging vanilla+ modpack centered around Create, where your journey starts slow and rewards careful planning. Many recipes have been changed, new structures can be found across the world, and the terrain and cave generation have been revamped to make exploration feel fresh while still keeping the vanilla spirit. You will have access to many different armour options with unique effects, and muskets offer a balanced way to handle ranged combat without turning the game into something unrecognisable. Note that special attention has been given towards balance!

Before we continue, I highly emphasise that you familiarise yourself with how the JEI (Just Enough Items) mod functions, most importantly being:

  1. Show Recipe (Left Click / 'R'): Hover over an item in the JEI list or your inventory and Left-Click (or press R) to view all crafting recipes for that item.

  2. Show Uses (Right Click / 'U'): Hover over an item and Right-Click (or press U) to see what that item is used to create.

Progression

Your early game will feel deliberate. Create sits at the core of your progression. Farmer’s Delight plays an important role in the early progression and in preparing proper meals and drinks to combat thirst, and you will need them as you push deeper into the world. One new Nether biome contains an important item required for your progress toward the End. My goal is to slowly weave you into Create and FD!

Early Progression

I have designed the early game to feel grounded and rewarding. Stone tools now require rope though an easily obtainable resource made from straw obtained from grass harvested via the flint knife from Farmer’s Delight.

I also encourage you to craft a wooden shield and a full wooden armor set available early on, the set comes with a unique attribute that lets you deflect arrows and musket shots from skeletons, making them crucial for surviving the first few nights. As your journey continues, you can craft a simple flintlock pistol using easy‑to‑make ammo. It serves as your first step into ranged combat and can later be upgraded into more powerful blackpowder weapons as you progress through the pack.

Every part of this stage is meant to slow you down just enough to make each upgrade feel earned, while keeping the experience fun and balanced!

Special note: Eyeballs from the new fleshy nether biome are required to craft the eye of ender.
