BATTLES + BUILD MODE + DIG. UPDATE THE PACK.

This update needs the new modpack version. The server will not let the old one join. Update in CurseForge, then log in.

Here's what I built.

24 MOVES WITH THEIR OWN ANIMATIONS — 15 OF THEM NEW THIS UPDATE

Every one of these is its own thing. Not a recolor, not a particle swap. Each move has its own choreography, its own sound, its own weight on the camera.

New this update: Psychic, Dark Pulse, Aura Sphere, Energy Ball, Flash Cannon, Dragon Pulse, Close Combat, Play Rough, Iron Head, Shadow Sneak, Foul Play, Dragon Dance, Swords Dance, Nasty Plot, Calm Mind.

Already in: Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Solar Beam, Shadow Ball, Earthquake, Flare Blitz.

A few you should go see for yourself:

• Shadow Sneak — your Pokémon vanishes, the shadow crosses the ground, and it reappears at the enemy's flank looking straight at them. Then the slice.
• Psychic — the target is picked up off the ground, held in the air, and slammed back down.
• Aura Sphere — a ball of light that grows in your Pokémon's hands until it launches, and bursts into blue on impact.
• Swords Dance — six blades standing point-up circling your Pokémon, sharpened three times, then the pop.
• Close Combat — seven hits in a second and a finisher that rings the ground.

MISSES ARE REAL NOW

When a move misses, the target dodges. A leap off the line — sideways and back — and the attack lands on the empty ground where it was standing. Every move, not just the animated ones. You will know it missed before the text tells you.

THE LITTLE THINGS THAT WERE WRONG

• Your Pokémon SHOULD always come out of the ball now. Some of you told me you'd throw a ball and nothing would appear, or you'd be in a battle nobody could see your Pokémon in. I believe I found what causes it and fixed that — but it's the one thing on this list I couldn't make happen on purpose to test, so I'm not going to promise it. If it still happens to you, tell me: every case now leaves a line in my log that shows exactly what went wrong.
• A Pokémon that faints now stays on the field through the move that took it down, instead of vanishing the instant the attack starts.
• Recalls have a beam. Switch a Pokémon, or watch one faint, and it's drawn back to your hand along a beam of red light before the next one comes out — every time, not just the first.
• Physical moves still charge in when the hit is a knockout. Before, the attacker just stood there.
• Big Pokémon stand where they belong. The spot a Pokémon takes at the start of a battle is now sized for the biggest Pokémon in the party, so a Gyarados switched in after a Pikachu doesn't end up standing inside its trainer.
• Trainer battles no longer end in an error when someone brings a Garganacl (or a Terapagos).

GROUND AURA — DIG, REBUILT

Hold Dig and you go. You're pushed along wherever you're looking, and every block your body touches is gone. Up, down, sideways, through a mountain. It doesn't fly — it needs earth to push through — and it doesn't touch chests, claims, or anything with a block inventory. One toast when you start, not a thousand.

BUILD MODE

Tbag asked for this one. Type /build and the blocks on your land break the instant you hit them — a real break, with the drops, not creative's vanish. It only works on land that's yours to shape: your claimed chunks, and your clan's HomeWorld island. Anywhere else, nothing changes. Bedrock and anything with an inventory are left alone, so you can't wipe a chest by accident. Type /build again to turn it off.

As Build Mode is a powerful tool, it is unlocked at Rank Zenith and above
