Astronyte 2 — v1.0.0 (2026-08-18)

Astronyte 2 is a full rebuild of Astronyte on Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge 21.1.248, the platform required by Create Aeronautics and the Sable physics ecosystem. 246 mods. Java 21 and at least 8 GB of RAM.

New to Astronyte 2

Space. Stellaris replaces Ad Astra for rockets and off-world bases, and Northstar Redux adds a Create-based path to orbit.

Create, expanded. Steam 'n' Rails, Numismatics, Create: New Age, Diesel Generators, Create Jetpack, Design n' Decor, Garnished, Mechanical Spawner with Mechanicals Lib.

Magic. Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks joins Ars Nouveau for a second full casting progression.

Adventure and worldgen. L_Ender's Cataclysm bosses (replacing Terramity), Mowzie's Mobs, Towns and Towers, Structory, and Apothic Enchanting to complete the Apotheosis enchanting module.

Performance. Sodium (replacing Embeddium), Lithium, Krypton Reno, Entity Culling, Dynamic FPS, BadOptimizations, and spark for profiling.

Quality of life. Almost Unified for unified recipes across tech mods, Crafting Tweaks, Not Enough Animations (replacing Animation Overhaul).

Back from the dead. The full YUNG's structure suite (13 mods) and Alex's Mobs return via their 1.21.1 community ports, so Alex's Delight works again too.

New tools. Silent Gear and Silent Lib take over for Tinkers' Construct. Construction Wand continues via the KOTS fork.

Gone, and why

Mods with no Minecraft 1.21.x release were dropped: the Thermal series, Tinkers' Construct and its addons, Botania, Ad Astra and its addons, TerraBlender, Terramity, Auudio, CoFH Core, Mantle, Cosmopolitan, and a handful of small integration mods whose parent mods left with them. Where a replacement exists, it is listed above.

One JEI addon sits this release out: Silent Gear JEI is not yet compatible with JEI 19.44, and returns when an updated build appears. Just Enough Resources, JER Integration, Just Enough Breeding, and Refined Storage's JEI integration are all in and working.
