You wake up, its morning, you notice nothing around you. Everything seems so.... abysmal. What is this strange land and how do you survive?

AbyssLands is a pack focused on the mods Ex Nihilo and Abysscraft. There are no traditional ores in the world, and the mobs spawning seem far from vanilla. You will find mob ores in the world, as well as some cosmetic ores in the world, but you must use ex nihilo and its addons to start gathering your resources. From there you have many options to explore. One of the easier and most OP ways is by using magical crops with agricraft, but try to not get stuck feeling like you have a single path of progression as there are so many other options available to you.

Make sure to make use of NEI as many recipes have been added to things that normally do not. You will spawn with some bones, saplings, food, and a terminal from Acedemycraft. There is no use for the terminal other than its amazing GUI and to encourage getting into that mod. You can also "twerk" for trees by spamming crouch to help get started. Work on getting a sifter from ex nihilo so you can start sifting for resources. If you need help with string, place a silkworm in a tree leaf and watch it spread. When all the leaves turn white break them with a crook for string.

Helpful hint: lava, oil, and liquid etherium act like water in that you can create infinite sources with them in the same way you would do water.

This pack can be played in hardcore, but is intended for a server and for long term play. There are many very grindy mods to get into and through. The recipes and configs are generally set to easy modes to help get you through the grind so you can explore all the mods the pack offers. After all, there are 2, yes 2 mods that are on par with "greg-tech" complication and that's less than 10% of the pack xD For a survival adventure, you can progress through the abyssalcraft mod and its dimensions, but that's up to you to discover how to get there ;)
