Ever wanted to be more than just a human?
Welcome to CreRaces Legacy! This mod introduces unique races, each with distinct abilities that shape how they interact with the world, adapt to different environments, and use special skills to enhance your Minecraft experience while overcoming any challenges along the way!
If you’re not happy with the race you chose, the Race Changer item lets you change it.
1. How do I change race? - You can reset your race by either entering the command "/creraces reset <username>" or by using a "Race changer" item. (Cheats does need to be enabled to use the "/creraces" command however)
2. Will a config be added to the mod? - Yes, the individual race configs are located in the "creraces" sub-folder in the config folder.
3. Backporting? - Not at the moment but when the mod is finished there is a chance of that happening but a lot of things that CreRaces use like for example Attributes didn't exist in versions prior to 1.16.5.
4. Will you add physical features to the races? - Yes, at some point in the future a custom renderer for Twilight Lib is planned, what it will be capable of I don't yet know for sure.
5. I can't find some races in the SelectionGUI? - Some races are sub-races of other races like the Velox is a sub-race of the Elves so you will find them under the Elves tab.
6. What is AP / AD and what does it do? - It's different kinds of scaling options. (Check the pins in the Discord's general chat for more info)
7. Porting? Not at the moment, all supported version are listed on the CurseForge & Modrinth pages.
8. Fabric port? - Kinda? As there are a lot of good race mods for Fabric already so I don't see the need for a full port but, for a somewhat experimental port of CreRaces called CreOrigins you can find that on it's own page under that name.
9. How does runes work? - If you're playing as either the Elementalist or Elf you can right-click with any elemental rune to gain its enhancement. You can craft them using the Runic Altar, I recommend using JEI for the recipes.
10. How does Coins work? - Coins are dropped by either Undead or Illager mobs which are automatically added to your Wallet which can be spent inside of the Item Shop block.
11. How does Skillpoints work? - You gain Skillpoints by converting Coins into Skillpoints inside the Item Shop block, Skillpoints are used by some races to level-up certain abilities like the Golem.
12. How do I move the RaceHUD? - In versions prior to 1.1.9 it scaled with your GUI size meaning if it's in the middle of the screen the odds are that you're on a smaller GUI scale. So to fix it you have 2 options, either change your GUI scale or type "/racegui" to hide it.
13. The Runic Ritual doesn't work! - The Runic Ritual is very sensitive and will only work if everything is set up correctly, make sure to check the Runic Handbook for information on this.
14. The Runic Ritual code doesn't work! - There was a bug in 1.1.9 that caused the Ritual Lab to generate with the same code all the time (8006) so if that's the number on your wall it's wrong, contact me about information on how to fix it.
15. What does this do? - The Wiki can be found under the Wiki tab on this page, though feel free to ask in the discord server about anyhting!
Remember Pehkui is required for the mod to work correctly. Mod rebranded from CreRaces Classic to CreRaces Legacy, versions 1.2 and older will thereby have the filename "CreRaces Classic"!
Ever wanted to be more then just a human?
Welcome to CreRaces Legacy, this is a downscaled version of CreRaces to more resemble how the mod used to be before! CreRaces. CreRaces Classic and CreRaces Legacy are NOT meant to run together but they are somewhat interchangeable! (CreRaces Legacy is based on CreRaces b1.4.2 trying to replicate a1.0.6 but with a lot of features and races removed)
The Race Selection Crystal is used to change race if you didin't like the race you selected on-startup but remember that it won't work if you've already selected a race so make sure to use The Race Reset Crystal before you can use it. (Creative Only)
Active polls:
none
These are the different races as of 1.2:
+ Undead
+ Dwarf
+ Dragonborn
+ Valkyrie
+ Fairy
+ Mermaid
+ Elementalist
+ Android
+ Dryad
The different races abilities and purposes are only displayed in-game at the moment.
Known bugs:
The Android Workstation is currently universal as in if any other android opens any workstation their effects / upgrades will get refreshed from the current station...
Sometimes the Mermaids underwater effects stay when going on land, they'll refresh if you touch water (no clue why this is happening randomly)
There are a lot of balance problems at the moment and if you happen to see something that's really OP please let me know!
If your playing as a Elementalist and you set your GUI scale to anything other then 4 or auto the mana bar will appear in incorrect locations!
The Nether Portal animation gets screwed up if you have the Mana Overlay active (toggable using /toggleraceguioverlay)
Dragonborn issue with Vampirism (If you are a Dragonborn while also being a Vampire using your primary ability will give you Thirst X "xx:xx" for some reason?)
On 1.17+ some custom models will be rendered incorrectly due to me having to remake them in the future.
