Description
Heads up: this mod needs Lore O’ Libs, whose file is still under CurseForge review. Until that file is approved and downloadable, this mod will not load. This note comes down the day it is.

Almanac O’ Adventures turns your whole modpack into one living library. It reads your game as it is and fills itself in: every structure, biome, creature, item and guidebook, from Minecraft, any mod and any datapack. Nothing is written by hand and nothing is tied to any one mod.
For players: find out what is in your world, where it lives, what it drops and how to get it, and follow one thing to the next without losing your place. In survival mode the book fills in as you explore.
For pack authors: take control of your modpack from one place. Remove unwanted structures, biomes, creatures and items, repair broken world generation, bring every guidebook together, and share your entire setup as one profile code.
Open it from the book button on the pause menu, next to Back to Game. You can also type /catalog, or bind a key under Controls > Almanac O’ Adventures.

Across every book
- No setup needed: Any mod or datapack that adds structures, biomes, creatures, items or loot is picked up automatically.
- Survival mode: a page stays hidden until you have found the thing: a biome you have stood in, a creature you have seen, an item you have carried, a structure you have walked into (structures in singleplayer).
- Everything is connected: a creature’s biome opens that biome’s page, a biome’s creatures and structures open theirs, and the Back button retraces every step.
- Search by what a thing is, not only what it is called: “water” brings up what lives in water, “tiny” the small creatures, “weapon” the weapons, “pet” what can be tamed. Narrow it with
mod:,biome:,type:,found:,enabled:, orin:to look through the text of the pages. - Page slider: sweep across hundreds of pages; every mod’s chapter is marked by its icon, and resting on the slider previews the page under it.
- 3D close-ups: left drag orbits, middle drag (or Shift) pans, the wheel zooms, right drag looks round, and F frames the thing again, as in Blender. In its close-up a creature goes round its paces: standing, walking, running.
- Smart grouping: variants of a structure, forms of a creature and sets of items share a page you can step through, so a big pack stays readable.
- Profiles: everything you have switched off, as one code you can paste into another pack.
- Export any book as a web page with search and filters. Nothing is uploaded.
- Structure and biome pages are written in the background when you open a singleplayer world, and pictures are drawn while you play. On a multiplayer server those two books show what that instance has already written.
- Flat items no longer show thin gaps when seen from the side, anywhere in the game.
Requirements
Lore O’ Libs: required. It is the book itself, shared by every O’ series mod; the CurseForge app installs it with the Almanac.
Two ways to use it.
Just want a field guide? Install the Almanac by itself. Every book fills itself in from your game and nothing else is needed.
Building a modpack? Add the four integrations below and make Almanac your all-in-one customization hub. Switch structures, creatures, items and biomes on or off directly in-game, without editing configuration files, datapacks or code. Whether you're an experienced pack author or creating your first modpack, shaping your world has never been more intuitive. Complete creative control, all in one place.
- Structurify: switch structures on or off from Story O’ Structures. Structure tools are still in beta.
- You Shall Not Spawn: choose which creatures can spawn from Bestiary O’ Beasts.
- Item Obliterator: remove unwanted items from Tome O’ Treasures.
- Patchouli: Grimoire O’ Guides is built for it. Every guidebook on its shelf is a Patchouli book.
- Biomes: are built in. The Almanac removes a biome itself, whatever terrain mods shaped the world (Terralith, Larion, a pack’s own), and its neighbours grow over where it was. It applies to land generated from then on.
Currently for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge. 1.21.1 is planned next, with Fabric on the way.
Optional extras
Side features. The Almanac simply joins in if you have them.
- Exposure and Polaroid: your in-game photographs in the Scrapbook.
- Obscure Tooltips, Legendary Tooltips & other tooltip mods: special items take the colors your pack already gives them.
Or install the books one at a time.
Almanac O' Adventures contains all five books and the library they share. However, if you only want one or two of the books, install those on their own instead; each works by itself. Do not install it together with the separate O’ series jars.
Found a problem? Report it from the book
Open the close-up of anything that looks wrong and press the ! button. Pick what the problem is, and the book takes a screenshot of the page and opens our GitHub page with the report already written for you. The screenshot is waiting on your clipboard: click the box, press Ctrl+V, then Submit. You need a free GitHub account, and nothing is sent until you press Submit yourself.
Reports turn into fixes for everyone. When you join a world the book reads one small public list of fixes, so a creature, structure or item that was reported gets put right without waiting for a new download. Nothing about you is sent, and it can be switched off in the config.
See what has been reported, or tell us about anything else: GitHub issues for the Almanac and every O’ series mod.
