SlickType is a lightweight World of Warcraft chat assistant that fixes rushed capitalization, spelling, and high-confidence grammar mistakes when you press Enter—while preserving names, WoW terminology, acronyms, links, commands, protected words, and intentional wording.

Fix rushed typing before it reaches chat

Type normally and send normally. SlickType checks the completed message just before Blizzard sends it, correcting only enabled, high-confidence mistakes.

✨ Cleaner messages automatically

• Fix inverted capitalization such as hEY THERE → Hey there.
• Normalize accidental mixed caps such as thIS IS wILD → This is wild.
• Turn accidental all-caps phrases into readable sentence capitalization.
• Correct common typos and conservative spelling matches, including missing, extra, duplicated, and transposed letters.
• Fix high-confidence grammar mistakes such as you;re → you're, should of → should have, and selected contextual uses of your → you're.
• Work completely offline with no external program or internet connection required.

Protect the words that matter

SlickType is designed for WoW chat, not formal writing. It preserves common gameplay terms, known player names, familiar acronyms, links, markup, slash commands, and words you explicitly protect.

🛡️ Keep control of your vocabulary

• Add slang, names, or personal vocabulary to the Never Correct list.
• Create custom replacements for your own typos or shorthand.
• Preserve common acronyms such as DPS, LFG, PVP, and RNG.
• Preserve item links, spell links, hyperlinks, color markup, and embedded chat data.
• Prefix a message with !! to bypass correction once; SlickType removes the prefix before sending.
• Export or import Never Correct words and custom replacements for backup or sharing.

Recent Correction History shows the latest automatic changes, making it easy to spot an unwanted correction and protect that word from future changes.

• Add an unwanted source word directly to Never Correct.
• Clear correction history whenever you want.

Keep a setup for every character

Profiles let you save, switch, import, and export complete correction configurations, so different characters or play styles can use different rules.

• Create and rename custom profiles.
• Choose a profile independently for each character.
• Copy, reset, import, or export profile settings.

Make it yours

• Toggle chat correction, inverted capitalization, all-caps normalization, and spelling or grammar correction independently.
• Choose whether SlickType preserves common acronyms and known player names.
• Build personal Never Correct and custom replacement lists.
• Review correction history and protect unwanted changes.
• Back up personal rules and complete profiles through import and export tools.
• Adjust the options-panel UI scale.
