Slaxxie's Eternal Toolbox

All of Slaxxie's WoW Forever tools in one addon – turn each one on or off with a click.

The Eternal Toolbox combines six quality-of-life addons for WoW Forever. Every module can be enabled or disabled individually through the minimap icon, so you only run what you need. It is designed to be minimally invasive: nothing in the default interface is replaced or redesigned. The Toolbox only adds information where you already look – the quest log, your character stats, item tooltips, the world map and your profession window – and blends in with Blizzard's own style. Whether you're a newcomer learning the game, a returning player finding your way back into Azeroth, or a veteran who wants to plan more efficiently, the game still feels like WoW Forever – just with the extra details you'd otherwise have to look up.

Modules

Quest Reward Preview

• XP reward and reward item icons right next to every quest in the quest log
• Summary of the XP from all quests ready to turn in – is it enough for a level-up?
• Separate Quest XP window with an XP bar and every quest's XP

Favorite Stats

• A Favorites category at the top of your character stats
• Click the star or right-click any stat to add a copy – saved per character

Better Upgrades

• Item tooltips show what an item's stats are worth for your class: Attack Power and DPS, crit, armor, dodge, health, mana, regeneration
• Reads "Equip:" effects like healing, spell damage, hit and crit
• Compares against your equipped item – green is a gain, red a loss

Quest Item Tooltip

• Quest items show which quest in your log they belong to, including your progress
• Leftover items of completed quests are marked as "no longer needed"

Detailed Map

• Hover any zone on the world map: level range, dungeons, boat / zeppelin / skyship routes, ores and herbs with required skill, skinning and fishing
• Capitals show their weapon masters and the weapon skills they teach
• Pin the box with a middle-click; collapsible and movable

Crafting Notebook

• Notebook with shopping lists and note pages – all pages in a sidebar, create new ones with + List / + Note
• Add to list button in the profession window puts a recipe's reagents on your list – set how often you want to craft it
• Add your own items by name, item ID or Shift-click
• Shows what you already own (bags + bank, including your alts) and checks items off once you have enough
• At the Auction House, a click on a material fills in the search box – just press Enter (the addon never searches or buys on its own)
• Its own minimap icon (can be hidden with /nb icon)

Settings

• Minimap icon: left-click opens the settings, right-click the Crafting Notebook, drag to move it around the minimap
• Settings window: one checkbox per module with description and status – click Reload to apply changes
• /toolbox or /slaxxie opens the settings as well
• Key bindings: Options → Keybindings → AddOns → Slaxxie's Eternal Toolbox (settings, Crafting Notebook, pin the map box)

Already using the standalone addons?

The Toolbox replaces Slaxxie's Quest Reward Preview, Slaxxie's Favorite Stats, Slaxxie's Better Upgrades, Slaxxie's Detailed Map and Slaxxie's Crafting Notebook.

• Your settings are imported automatically on first login.
• A dialog lists the old addons and disables them with one click ("Disable & reload").
• Until then, the matching Toolbox module stays off – nothing ever runs twice.

You can also simply remove the old addons in the CurseForge app before installing the Toolbox – but then their settings can't be imported.

Installation

With the CurseForge app (recommended)

1. Open the CurseForge app and select World of Warcraft.
2. Make sure your WoW Forever installation is selected at the top.
3. Search for Slaxxie's Eternal Toolbox and click Install.
4. Restart the game and follow the dialog if you still have the standalone addons enabled.

Manual installation

1. Download the latest file from the Files tab.
2. Find your WoW Forever folder: in the Battle.net launcher, select WoW Forever, click the gear icon next to Play and choose Show in Explorer.
3. Open the WoW Forever subfolder (it starts with an underscore) and go to Interface\AddOns. Create the Interface and AddOns folders if they don't exist yet.
4. Extract the ZIP so that the SlaxxiesEternalToolbox folder sits directly inside AddOns: ...\Interface\AddOns\SlaxxiesEternalToolbox\SlaxxiesEternalToolbox.toc
5. Fully restart the game – /reload does not detect newly installed addons.
6. On the character selection screen, click AddOns (bottom left) and make sure Slaxxie's Eternal Toolbox is enabled.
