Description

Check that your raid is actually ready — the right addons at the right versions, consumables in bags, gear repaired and gemmed — without an external program, a website, or a server.

Open the window with /nrr, or from the nugsSuite launcher.

The addon check

WoW addons run in a sandbox and cannot read your AddOns folder. They do not need to: the client already indexes every installed addon, and each copy of this addon reads its own machine's list and shares the relevant slice over WoW's addon-message channels.

1. Everyone installs it. It sits silent until asked. 2. The leader sets the required addons — folder name, and optionally a minimum version — and presses Check Raid. 3. Only the required names go out, over the raid channel. 4. Each raider's copy whispers back its versions for those addons, staggered to respect Blizzard's message throttle. 5. The leader gets a roster: OK / Outdated / Missing / No version info / No response.

Every raider also sees a box on their own screen listing what they are missing, so nobody has to be told individually.

"No response" means that player does not have this addon or is offline — which is itself a useful compliance signal, so it is reported rather than hidden.

Readiness scoring

Beyond addons, each character scores itself on what actually stops a pull going well:

  • Item level — scored against your own best available gear rather than a per-tier number somebody has to maintain, so it never goes stale between patches.
  • Enchants, gems and empowerment, weapons and trinkets included.
  • Durability, and consumables in your bags.
  • Equipment set and talent loadout matched against the group you are in.
  • Gold, which is opt-in and asked for on first launch. Decline and the row disappears entirely.

The score updates live off the events that change it — gear, bags, durability, spec, talents, group changes — debounced so a burst collapses into one recompute rather than a stutter.

The readiness bar

A small always-on HUD showing your score, draggable and lockable. Hover for the full breakdown, click to open the Character tab.

When a ready check fires, your own client scores you and pops a warning listing your weakest checks if you are below your threshold — so you find out before the pull rather than after the wipe. Leaders can optionally auto-whisper anyone reporting below it, once per ready check, and it is off by default.

Consumables

A per-boss or per-night list of flasks, food, potions, runes and healthstones that the leader defines and everyone is checked against. Item ids are verified in game rather than copied from a website — /nrr ids puts the real id on every item tooltip so a wrong one is visible rather than silently never matching.

Commands

/nrr open or close the window
/nrr check run a check immediately
/nrr ids show item ids on tooltips, for verifying a consumables list

Only the raid leader or an assistant can run a check; the button is greyed out otherwise. Solo, it is always enabled so you can test against yourself.

Notes

  • The required list is stored per character. Raiders do not need it — each one just needs the addon; the leader defines what is required.
  • A determined user could spoof a reported version. This is a cooperation tool for a guild raid, not tamper-proof enforcement, and it does not pretend otherwise.
  • Recommended alongside nugsSuite, never required. No external libraries and no dependencies of any kind.
