Description
KinFolk: your guild's hub, inside the game
KinFolk is a guild hub for World of Warcraft: Forever. One window inside the game holds everything your guild shares: a home page, guild chat, the members, events, raids, crafting, and a class guide for your newer players.
What is a guild hub?
A guild is more than a roster. It is the people you raid with, the crafter who makes your potions, the officer who answers your questions, and the new player who just joined. A guild hub keeps all of that in one place, inside the game, for every member: the Guild Master, the officers, and everyone else.
- One window for the guild. Open it with the minimap button, /kinfolk, or the J key if you choose.
- For every member, not just officers. Members get the home page, chat, events, raids, crafting, the class guide, and the board. Officers also get recruiting, records, and tools.
- Nothing outside the game. No website, no account, no bot. KinFolk works on its own.
- Your view, your way. Every player can hide the doors they do not use, on their own screen, in Settings.
KinFolk and World of Warcraft: Forever are both new, so you may run into bugs. Update to the newest version often, and see Support below to report anything that looks wrong.

The hub, door by door
KinFolk's doors run down the left side of its window, in the order a new member meets them.
Guild: your guild's home page
- Your guild at a glance: the guild's banner, crest, and motto, About us, and the guild's Discord with a Copy link button.
- From the board: the newest bulletin board post.
- Who to ask if you have questions: the Guild Master and officers who are online now. Click a name to whisper them.
- Today and guild news: who is online, today's events, groups looking for players, and what happened in the guild lately.
- Officers choose the motto, About us, Discord link, crest, and banner, and every guildmate with KinFolk sees a change right away.

Chat: talk to the guild
- Guild chat for everyone and Officer chat for officers, with names in class colors and item links you can click.
- Click a name to whisper. Select text lets you copy any part of guild chat, and web links open ready to copy.
- Messages from your guild's Discord are marked, and show under the writer's character once their Discord name is set.
- Nothing is sent until you press Enter. KinFolk keeps the last 14 days it saw, on your computer only.

Members: know your guildmates
For everyone
- Members overview: how many members, who is online, who is new this week, and the guild's classes in one colored bar.
- Who's around: online guildmates by zone, yours first. Climbers this week and New this week, so you can say hello.
- You: your rank, your time in the guild, your played time, and how many guildmates are near your level.
- Leveling buddies: guildmates near your level, and a one-click whisper to team up.
- Player menu: right-click a member's name to add them as a friend, invite them to your group, whisper, inspect, trade, follow, or duel.
- Spec and professions, filled in for you: a member's spec comes from their talents (the tree with the most points), and their professions from what their KinFolk shares. Nobody has to type them.
- Guild nicknames in chat, like [Nickname] First Last, for everyone using KinFolk.
For officers
- A searchable roster with filters: online now, inactive, new, alts, missing KinFolk, former members, and a watch list.
- Member records with join date, who invited them, main and alts, rank history, notes with no length limit, and the watch list.
- Alts linked to mains in one step, with suggested links. A guild note builder, an inactivity report, and away notices so nobody on a break is counted as inactive.
- A guild log kept for good: joins, departures, promotions, and level milestones.

Events: plan it, fill it, see who came
- Guild events come from the game's own calendar, for the next 30 days, so every member can answer with or without KinFolk.
- Start page: the week ahead, the next event, and the events you are coming to.
- Who is coming: counted by tank, healer, and damage, and by class, with every answer in a table: answer, name, class, and role.
- Answer in one click: Sign up or Tentative, right in KinFolk. See "How do events and the calendar work?" below for what you can change later.
- Officers add events with a date picker, announce them in guild chat, confirm everyone on Tentative, and take attendance from the group or raid.
- Reminders: today's guild events when you log in, and again 15 minutes before one starts.
- Group board: post what you are looking for (a dungeon, a quest, farming) and the roles you need. Guildmates with KinFolk can whisper to join.

Raids: teams, lineups, and loot
Raids opens in its own larger window. Everyone in the guild with KinFolk sees the teams, lineups, loot, and points; officers and raid leaders run them.
- Raid teams if you want them: Core, Trial, Backup, and Social, with raid leaders and role targets.
- Raid nights go into the game's calendar, so everyone can sign up, with or without KinFolk.
- Lineups: fill groups from the sign-ups by role in one click, check for missing roles, then invite and arrange the raid.
- Loot your way: need and greed with a loot master, loot council, DKP, or EPGP, with loot history and points.
- A guided tour with a made-up raid guild shows every page the first time you open Raids.

Crafting: who can make it?
- Crafting directory: search "who can make this?" across the recipes of guildmates with KinFolk. Recipes are shared by themselves when a guildmate opens a profession window.
- Professions side by side: primary professions on the left, Cooking, First Aid, and Fishing on the right. Each starts closed: click one to see its crafters.
- Set an amount and see which mats you have or are missing. Click a crafter's recipe count to see all their recipes, online or offline.
- Crafting requests: ask a crafter, or the whole guild, to make something. The Requests page shows your own requests, ones sent to you, and ones for recipes you can make.
- Guild needs: when the guild bank runs low, a banker or officer asks the guild's crafters in one click. The request is pinned at the top of every crafter's list, and the bank supplies the mats.

Class Guide: help for your guild's newer players
New and returning players often leave the game to look up how to play their class. The Class Guide keeps that help inside the hub, so your guild's newer players can learn without leaving the game.
- Your class, ready to read: pick your spec, then a topic: talents, stat priority, rotations for one or many targets, healing or tanking, dual spec, professions, consumables, and common questions.
- Every answer is labeled: Confirmed, Guides disagree (both sides shown), or Early advice, with its sources and their dates.
- A starting point to grow from: researched advice, not a rule for every fight. Low hit, different boss fights, and other things can change what works.
- Works offline, and is checked again every week.
- No gear advice, on purpose: Forever reworked every item, and there is not enough data yet to recommend gear accurately.
- Don't need it? Any player can hide the Class Guide on their own screen in Settings, Doors you see.

Board: news, votes, and milestones
- Bulletin board: officer posts for plans, rules, and decisions, with pins and one-click sharing to guild chat.
- Polls: up to ten answers; guildmates vote in KinFolk and see the totals, never who voted for what.
- Celebrations: join anniversaries and level milestones, each with a one-click congratulations.

Bank: the guild bank, kept
- Bank ledger: every gold deposit and withdrawal, kept for good.
- Bank contents: every item in a table with its count and tab, an item tooltip on hover, and low-stock warnings with Ask crafters (see Guild needs above).
- Bank requests: ask the bank for an item; bankers or officers approve, decline with a reason, and mark it given.
- Bank contents and bank requests are built and marked Under construction until WoW Forever turns on guild bank item tabs. The first two pictures below are a preview of how they will look.

Recruiting: grow the guild (officers)
- Posting: ready recruiting messages with your guild's name, one-click posting to General or Trade, and a shared wait between posts so your guild never spams a channel.
- Catching replies: anyone who whispers after a post becomes a recruit in one click. KinFolk never invites anyone by itself.
- Recruit records: statuses from Talking to Member, check-ins, trial dates, notes, and a Whisper button on the check-in.
- Interviews: your guild's questions, each with what to listen for.
- Starting a new guild? With no guild, KinFolk opens on a Home page with tips for finding a guild and Start a guild. A Founding door then tracks your charter signatures and founding plans, and brings everything into the guild once it exists.

Officers: tools that stay in sync
- Quick posts: a welcome for new members and saved guild chat lines, each sent with one click.
- Officer sync: records, notes, the guild log, attendance, the board, and recruiting messages are shared between officers by themselves. The newest change wins and notes are never lost.
- Permissions: the Guild Master chooses who may change the guild profile, the board, polls, quick posts, and the setup.

Setup
- Install with the CurseForge app, which keeps KinFolk up to date for you.
- Open KinFolk with the minimap button or /kinfolk. The first time, it asks whether the J key should open KinFolk or the game's guild window.
- Members: no setup. KinFolk opens on the Guild page.
- Officers: a short guided setup asks about your officer ranks, your guild page, the parts your guild uses, and recruiting, with the usual answers filled in. Other officers then load the guild's settings by themselves.
- No guild yet: KinFolk opens on a Home page with tips, and Start a guild if you want your own.
- Keep everyone on the same version, so officer sync works. Your version shows in chat when you log in.
Privacy and saved data
- Saved on your computer only, in the game's own saved data. Nothing goes to a website or service.
- In-game information only. KinFolk never asks for real names, locations, or anything from outside the game. The one exception is an optional Discord name, which you or an officer can add.
- Officer records stay with officers. They travel only between officer ranks, through the game's hidden addon messages. What the whole guild sees (the group board, crafting, polls) uses a separate channel.
- Nothing happens on its own. KinFolk never posts, whispers, invites, or changes anything without your click.
- Start over any time: /kinfolk reset erases everything KinFolk saved on your computer.
Frequently asked questions
How do events and the calendar work?
KinFolk reads and answers the game's own calendar, so it can only do what the calendar allows. Guild events show for the next 30 days, and every member can answer, with or without KinFolk.
Who can do what
| Action | Members | Officers |
|---|---|---|
| See events, who is coming, and the roles and classes | Yes | Yes |
| Sign up or answer Tentative | Yes | Yes |
| Decline | Personal invites only | Personal invites only |
| Add a guild event | No | Yes, if their rank can add guild events in the game |
| Announce an event in guild chat | No | Yes |
| Confirm everyone on Tentative | No | The event's creator, or an officer the game lets edit it |
| Delete an event | No | The event's creator, or an officer the game lets edit it |
| Take attendance | No (they can copy it) | Yes, from the group or raid |
Changing your answer later
| Kind of event | What you can change |
|---|---|
| Personal invite (sent to you by name) | Sign up, Tentative, or Decline, in any direction, any time |
| Guild event (posted for the whole guild, and raid nights) | Sign up to Tentative. Not Tentative back to Sign up, and no Decline |
| An event you created | Nothing: the game keeps the creator confirmed |
Why the limit on guild events: once you answer a guild event, the game only accepts Tentative or Remove, and Remove takes the whole event off your calendar. The game's own calendar has the same limit, so KinFolk only offers what the game accepts.
What to do instead: Tentative already counts as coming. If you want to be fully signed up, ask the event's organizer: they have a Confirm tentative button that confirms everyone on Tentative in one click.
Your answer at a glance: open the event and your answer shows under its title, with that button greyed out. A red number on the Events door counts guild events in the next 7 days you have not answered yet.
Do all my guild members need KinFolk?
No. Events and raid nights use the game's calendar, so everyone can sign up either way, and raiders without KinFolk can still /roll for loot. Members who install it get the full member view of the hub.
Can I hide parts of KinFolk I do not use?
Yes. Every player can hide doors on their own screen in Settings, Doors you see: Chat, Members, Raids, Events, Crafting, Class Guide, Board, or Bank. The Guild home page always stays. Officers also have Settings, Modules, which switches parts off for every officer.
Where does the Class Guide advice come from?
From Blizzard's notes, with Icy Veins as the main guide and other guides alongside it. Every answer names its sources and their dates, and the book is researched and checked again every week. In the game, it is all inside KinFolk, with no internet or AI service needed.
Why can't KinFolk promote, remove, or write guild notes for me?
The game does not let any addon do those. Use the game's guild window for rank changes; KinFolk gets guild notes ready to paste.
Will KinFolk spam chat?
No. It only sends what you click, and recruiting posts have a wait between posts that all your officers share.

About AI
- The KinFolk logo and banner art were made with the help of AI image tools.
- The Class Guide research is AI-supported: AI agents read Blizzard's notes and the guides, and every answer is checked against its sources before it ships.
- The screenshots on this page are real captures from the game, taken in a test guild whose members, chat, and records are made up. The bank contents and bank requests pictures are previews.
