# Aegis Guild Hall

**One window for running a guild.** Roster, events, sign-ups, groups, attendance, notices, polls, minutes, conduct, recruiting, the guild bank, housing and weekly challenges -- shared automatically between every guildmate running Aegis, with no server, no export and no import.

---

## What's New in v1.0.0

Aegis Guild Hall is out of private beta. Since July it has run inside real guilds, and most of what is in it was asked for by the officers and members who used it. This is the first build anyone can find and install by name.

- **One window, the whole guild.** Roster, events and sign-ups, groups, attendance, the noticeboard, polls and minutes, conduct, recruiting, the guild bank, housing and a weekly challenge, each on its own tab.
- **It keeps itself in step.** Anyone in the guild running Aegis sees the same records. There is no server, nothing to export and nothing to set up; clients reconcile with each other in the background, and a new install catches up in minutes.
- **A place for members, not only officers.** Today shows what happened while you were away. Blueprints are a guild library of housing builds. Challenges is a weekly leaderboard whose game the officers pick. Competitions run housing tours, scavenger hunts and raffles.
- **Officers keep the keys.** Each capability has a rank floor the GM sets, with three presets to start from. Conduct records are sealed with an officer key and never travel over the guild channel.
- **It looks how you want.** Fifteen colour schemes, five body fonts, stepped scale, keybindings, a minimap button and an addon compartment entry.

## Sync -- the part you never touch

Anyone in the guild running Aegis shares the same picture: notes, events, sign-ups, minutes, conduct, competitions, blueprints. Clients reconcile with each other in the background over the game's own addon channel. A new member catches up in minutes; a member on an older version stands down rather than corrupt anyone's data, and is told so in chat.

## Today

Your guild as a night sky: who came back, who levelled, what is waiting on you, and the events on today. Today is the same for every rank -- officer work lives in Manage.

## Roster and Alt Roster

- **Roster** -- every member with a profile card that leads with the person: their characters, their houses (with a Visit button), how much they play as a seven-day heat map, how long they have been a member, who brought them in, and their socials (Discord, Twitch, Patreon and more).
- **Alt Roster** -- members grouped by account, so you see mains and their alts as one person rather than eleven names. Anyone can set their own main on any of their characters, and every screen agrees which it is.
- **Filters** -- Online, Aegis users and rank combine as three switches. Rank colours follow your guild's own Guild Control settings.
- **Aegis notes** -- a per-member note that syncs to officers, separate from the WoW officer note, which stays read-only.

## Guild Events and Groups

- **Guild Events** -- create guild calendar events from inside Aegis (the event goes on the real calendar), pick the date from a calendar, choose the kind of night and then which raid or dungeon, mark an event private, and see sign-ups as they arrive. Recurring series fold into one row. Deleting follows Blizzard's rule: officers can delete any event, members their own.
- **Groups** -- every event gets a board, seeded from its sign-ups. Compose Mythic+, raid and legacy-instance groups by hand, fill from the sign-up list (waitlisted players are promoted), then invite the whole board in one click. Roles are the player's own choice.
- **Attendance** -- Record Attendance reads whoever is in your group and files it against the event, so who actually turned up is on the record.
- **Reminders** -- event reminders arrive as chat lines, 24 hours ahead and at login, with a WoW holidays option. No pop-ups.

## Noticeboard

Alerts, polls and meeting minutes, plus the Guild Info page with a formatting toolbar (headings, bullets, colours, icons and links). Officers can send a **Flash** announcement that reaches every guildmate running Aegis once, with an Urgent option; who may send one is your guild's own permission setting.

## Manage -- the officer's desk

Members, applicants and recruits in one list. Each row carries strike count, a vouched-for mark and the date someone was kicked or left, so those facts are scannable across the whole guild. The detail pane shows a member's houses, join date and recruiter, and promotes one member at a time. The recruiting pipeline tracks applicants through to joined, and a tracked recruit joining is announced once.

## Conduct

Strikes, bans and the loot council record, with a history per member. Conduct records are sealed with an officer key your GM sets once, never travel over the guild channel, and are discarded on arrival by any client without the key.

## Vault

A cached view of the guild bank: gold in, gold out, deposits and withdrawals, each list scrolling, with transactions witnessed by whoever was at the bank. Who may see the Vault, and who may see its transaction log, are both guild settings.

## Blueprints -- a guild library of housing builds

Share a build you have saved and anyone in the guild can put it up on their own plot. You pick the build by name and Aegis takes the share code, so there is nothing to copy or mistype. Each entry says what is in the build (house, rooms, decor, dyes, fixtures and interior decor budget), who published it, and how many builders have taken it. **Apply to my house** puts a build up straight away (the game backs up your current layout first). **Test fit** asks the server how the build sits against your plot and lists what you are short of, piece by piece. **Link** puts a build in your chat box as a clickable link that opens Blizzard's own import window, so the recipient does not need Aegis. Builds are checked against the server when opened, so a deleted code comes off the shelf. Codes people send you can be saved privately under My saved codes. If you run Housing Decor Guide, a button turns a build's missing pieces into a shopping list.

## Competitions

Housing tours, scavenger hunts and raffles. A lead stages a competition, sets the rubric and phases, seats judges and entrants on a group board, and publishes the standings. Judges score privately on cards that go only to the lead; results are published with the judges named, and the competition's calendar event carries whatever text the lead writes. During a housing tour the judging list carries each entrant's houses with a Visit button. A **raffle** is drawn with a recorded seed -- weighted by tickets, without replacement for each place -- so anyone in the guild can check the draw afterwards; entries stay open until the draw.

## Challenges -- the weekly game

A weekly leaderboard whose game the officers pick. Fourteen games at launch: house visits, Mythic+ runs, boss kills, Dungeon Finder runs, quests, world quests, items crafted, achievements, pets tamed, fish caught, collection gains, renown levels, guild chat messages and guild event sign-ups. An officer configures next week from a pop-up on the tab: any mix of games, each with its own points per unit, or a one-click scheme (Dungeon / Raid, Questing, Crafting, Collection). Everything is counted by each member's own client as they play; the board changes at the weekly reset, keeps past weeks with their winners, and can say your points in chat as you earn them.

## Neighborhoods

Guild houses by neighborhood, filed under whoever holds the deed, with a Visit button on each. A full guild scans in seconds. Members in public neighborhoods show their full address on their card.

## Craft

Who in the guild can make the thing you need, with a try-on stage for the result (Undress and Sheathe toggles, the same dark vignette the transmog window uses).

## Stats

Three views: an Overview with guild size over time, joins and leaves by weekday and the newest members; Members, with rank and class breakdowns you can click for names; and the guild event log. The trend graphs grow from the day Aegis was installed.

## Permissions

Aegis reads your guild's rank structure and gates itself accordingly. Each capability -- create events, build groups, post notices, create polls, publish minutes, share blueprints, run competitions, set the weekly challenge, see the Vault, edit member notes -- has a rank floor the GM sets, with three presets (Locked down, Standard, Open) so nobody meets the grid cold. Permission changes reach the whole guild. If a button is missing, the dialog says which rule applies.

## Settings and appearance

- **Fifteen colour schemes** -- Aegis Midnight, Aegis Vivid, Solarized Dark and Light, Colorblind Safe, Everforest, Kanagawa, Dracula, Pumpkin Spice, Purpura, Rose Pine, Nightfly, OneNord, Badwolf and Green.
- **Body font** -- the game's own font, or Inter, Alegreya, Lora or Marcellus.
- **Scale** -- stepped up and down from Settings.
- **Keybindings** -- an Aegis section under Esc > Options > Keybindings with Toggle Aegis and Open Roster, so it can sit on J in place of the guild panel.
- A minimap button and an addon compartment entry.

## Problem reports

A report button sits in the title bar. One click builds a short summary -- your version, who else is running Aegis and on which version, anything out of sync, and any errors this session -- ready to paste into Discord. It leaves out everything that is working normally.

## Quick Start

1. Install and log in on a guilded character. Aegis finds your guildmates who run it by itself.
2. Open with `/aegis`, the minimap button, or the addon compartment.
3. Start in **Today**, then **Roster**. Officers: set the rank floors in **Permissions** first (a preset takes one click), and set the officer key in **Settings** before recording conduct.

## Requirements

- World of Warcraft Retail **12.1.0 (Midnight)**.
- No dependencies. Housing Decor Guide is an optional companion for blueprint shopping lists.
- Everything travels over the game's addon channel; there is no server and nothing leaves the game. The addon's FAQ folder explains how conduct records are protected and what the protection does not cover.
