As always, delete older versions of the mod before installing an updated file and remove localthumbcache.package after replacing mods.

I wanted the emotions in The Sims 4 to feel more natural when you’re actually playing, storytelling, taking screenshots, or building out real life situations in your saves. This mod replaces EA’s default mood names with more everyday wording that feels a little more realistic in-game. So instead of everything sounding so basic, your Sims’ moods now read more like real emotions:

Happy → In A Good Mood
Tense → Anxious
Angry → Irritated
Bored → Checked Out
Inspired → Full Of Ideas
Focused → Concentrated
Flirty → Attracted
Sad → Feeling Down

And that’s just some of them.

This mod was made for players who want their game to feel smoother, more realistic, and easier to use for storytelling. The moods still work the same way mechanically, but the wording now feels better when you’re playing with drama, family stories, romance, mental health moments, screenshots, machinima, or just everyday gameplay.

This mod does not change how emotions work.
It does not add new emotions.
It does not change buffs, autonomy, mood colors, or gameplay behavior.

For example, In A Good Mood is still mechanically Happy.
Irritated is still mechanically Angry.
Anxious is still mechanically Tense.

This is a mood name and mood wording override.

Compatibility

Please only use one mood override mod at a time.

If you have another mod that changes EA emotion names, mood names, mood tuning, or emotion UI wording, it can conflict with this one. Pick one so the names show correctly.

Install

Delete any older test versions.
Place the final package in your Mods folder.
Delete localthumbcache.package.
Open your game and enjoy.
