This mod adds a full allowance system for children and teens in The Sims 4. Parents can give allowance, set agreements, reward chores, respond to money requests, teach money lessons, and set boundaries when the household budget is tight.

As always, delete older versions of the mod before installing an updated file and remove localthumbcache.package after replacing mods.

This mod adds a full allowance system for children and teens in The Sims 4. Parents can give allowance, set agreements, reward chores, respond to money requests, teach money lessons, and set boundaries when the household budget is tight.

Children and teens can ask for money, check their saved allowance, spend from their personal balance, set savings goals, and complete chore payouts.

Adult Sims

Click a child or teen and choose:

Allowance System...

Adults can pay allowance, set agreements, reward grades, assign chore payouts, teach money lessons, check allowance status, and reset allowance data if needed.

Children and Teens

Click an adult and choose:

Allowance System...

Children and teens can ask for money, offer to do chores, talk about allowance agreements, and claim completed chore payouts.

Children and teens can also click themselves and choose:

Allowance System...

This lets them check their saved allowance, set savings goals, view goals, and spend their allowance.

ALLOWANCE SYSTEM — V1.1 COMPATIBILITY UPDATE

What changed

  • Updated the Allowance System to work safely alongside Daily Pay.

  • Replaced the separate tuning-loader injection with the new shared JayESims compatibility dispatcher.

  • Prevented the Allowance interaction from being inserted more than once.

  • Added protection so an error from another registered mod cannot stop the Allowance System or the game’s tuning from loading.

Gameplay changes

There are no gameplay changes in this update.

Allowance balances, agreements, payments, cooldowns, and saved household information should remain connected.

Required installation

Delete every older Allowance System file before installing this version.

Delete localthumbcache.package after replacing the files.
