Optimized for Most Computers

Optimized heavily and configured to perfection, Second Chance! will even run on low end machines buttery smooth thanks to mods like Rubidium and BetterFPS, which sometimes even triple the average frames per second, in comparison to without those installed.

Extensively-Tweaked Difficulty

Difficulty is scaled in order to give players a sense of urgency and challenge earlier on. This will force them to dive deep into the mods and quests provided, granting the players a major sense of accomplishment as they become stronger. Creative style flight is only unlockable once ALL quests are fully completed, so gameplay never becomes too easy or stale.

Noob and Pro-Friendly Alike

With over 500+ custom quests, this pack is extremely beginner-friendly but doesn't subtract from the experience for long-time modded players. Detailed descriptions are written for every single quest that cover new mechanics, tips, and special crafting that isn't listed in JEI. You are likely to struggle and die a lot at the very beginning, but progression quickly accelerates to incredible speeds! While some tasks are more difficult than others, players will always know the direction they should be going in.

Mods Selected and Configured To Work Together

An unhealthy amount of time has been devoted solely to selecting mods, modifying their config files, and editing crafting recipes through KubeJS, in order to provide a nearly bug-free, seamless, integrated user experience. Most mods installed are solely client side or add small, quality of life tweaks that may often go unnoticed, but are there to aid a player's gameplay. The core content mods chosen are a result of exchanging many different mods in and out to ensure they all run together without conflict, but can also be utilized together in-game. For example, Mana And Artifice spellcasting can often be used in the offhand with a Tinker's Construct weapon in the main hand, allowing for a Skyrim-like combat experience. Create also seamlessly works with all of Tinker's liquid metals and can be used for automating resource production through the smeltery. While not core mods, Simple Storage Network and Colossal Chests work wonders together to make an early-through-late-game, always accessible, infinitely expandable, Applied Energistics 2-like "ME System."

Made by Someone with a Decade Of Minecraft Knowledge and Experience

Not to toot my own horn, but I have played both vanilla and modded Minecraft for an extremely long time, with 9,000+ hours logged over a decade. I recall fond memories of early-day Pixelmon with friends and even the old technic launcher, which, let's face it, is dwarfed by CurseForge, but for good reason. SkyFactory, Blightfall, Hexxit, SevTech, Create: Above And Beyond. Orespawn, GalactiCraft, Morph, Thermal Dynamics, Archimede's Ships, Twilight Forest, Lucky Blocks, Mo' Creatures, from old to new--you name it! I've played a lot of Minecraft over the past decade, so I know what kills a modpack and what keeps it going. I know firsthand what has really made modpacks enjoyable, and the culmination of all those great memories and fond moments is the experience I've tried to concoct over the 200+ hours I've spent building this pack. Some of my friends who have little-to-no modded experience will touch modded Minecraft for the first time in Second Chance!, so I have done my best, with that in consideration, to build a pack that will provide the same feelings of wonder and exploration for new players, that I have enjoyed over the past ten years.

Tinkerer's Clock - Master Tinker's Construct by becoming an advanced blacksmith and forging the strongest to tools and weaponry known to man!
Engineer's Clock - Master Create by concocting brilliant contraptions that automate tasks in aesthetic manners!
Notch's Clock - Master Vanilla Minecraft by completing many major milestones that are traditional to Minecraft's core gameplay!
Archeologist's Clock - Master Artifacts by obtaining every lost artifact, each imbued with special powers, from dungeon chests and killing mimics!
Explorer's Clock - Master When Dungeons Arise! by locating certain dungeons and structures spread throughout the amazing world generation from Terralith and Biomes'O'Plenty!
Zookeeper's Clock - Master Alex's Mobs by defeating a new boss and building a zoo of all the new creatures you find!
Chef's Clock - Master Croptopia and Cooking For Blockheads by building an expansive farm and wonderful kitchen to cook new foods and raise your max health!
Magician's Clock - Master Mana And Artifice and Corail Tombstone by exploring magical arts, conducting rituals, and manaweaving powerful items to aid you on your quest!
Colonizer's Clock - Master MineColonies by becoming the mayor of a village and growing an eventually self-sufficient colony full of life and prosperity!
