Oathwrought

OATHWROUGHT 0.4 — FIRST STABLE RELEASE

Version 0.4 is the first stable release of Oathwrought. This build establishes the pack’s core survival, smithing, exploration, cooking, engineering, and cooperative systems.

SMITHING AND PROGRESSION

Early progression has been reworked around Overgeared. Players can knap materials, assemble tool parts, use Stone Anvils, follow blueprints, forge equipment, polish finished pieces, and improve equipment quality.

Certain vanilla and modded recipes have been intentionally changed to support this progression. The compass, for example, is now forged using Overgeared Iron Plates. Check JEI whenever a familiar recipe no longer works.

NAVIGATION

Every player receives an Oathwrought Field Guide and one free empty map.

Carrying a filled map unlocks the circular minimap. Carrying a compass reveals coordinates and facing direction. Automatic death markers and minimap waypoints are disabled. Recovery Compasses retain their normal purpose of pointing toward a player’s last death.

ENGINEERING AND SURVIVAL

Create introduces rotational power, mechanical processing, moving contraptions, transportation, and physical automation.

Farmer’s Delight, Rustic Delight, Aquaculture, Aquaculture Delight, and Meal Mastery expand farming, fishing, kitchens, cooking, and meal progression.

Backpacks, gravestones, portable sleeping, Waystones, individual player loot, tree felling, and other practical survival features are also included.

EXPLORATION

The Overworld, Nether, and End feature reworked terrain and environments. New wildlife, hostile creatures, creeper variants, and boss-like encounters make exploration less predictable.

MULTIPLAYER AND IMMERSION

Oathwrought includes proximity voice chat and craftable radios for immersive long-distance communication.

Environmental acoustics, ambient sounds, improved player animations, visible player interactions, and performance improvements help make the world feel more responsive and alive.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

A new world is recommended so the pack’s terrain, structures, creatures, and other world-generation features can appear as intended.

This is a stable and comfortable working build, but Oathwrought remains an actively developed project. Compatibility, recipes, balance, progression, and presentation will continue to be refined in future updates.

Version 0.4 will remain the stable foundation while upcoming additions are developed and tested separately.
