What's new

🧭 Cobblemon Realms – Version 6.0

The wait is finally over.

More than two months after Cobblemon Realms v5.9.4, Version 6.0 marks one of the largest evolutions the modpack has ever received.

During this development cycle, Cobblemon Realms has grown far beyond simply bringing existing mods together. I developed five brand-new mods specifically around the needs of the modpack, while many of my existing projects, datapacks and resource packs also received major updates for this release.

At the same time, exploration has been expanded with Legendary Monuments, numerous new dedicated structures, redesigned dungeons, new encounters, Team Rocket, new Pokémon forms and models, improved progression, major quality-of-life systems and extensive performance work.

And all of this arrives as Cobblemon Realms celebrates the 150,000 download milestone.

Welcome to Cobblemon Realms v6.0.

🛠️ Five New Mods Built for Cobblemon Realms

Version 6.0 introduces five new mods developed specifically around Cobblemon Realms.

These projects allow important systems to be designed around the modpack itself rather than relying entirely on unrelated addons, while still remaining independent projects that can evolve outside the pack.

  • Cobblemon QoL Suite: advanced PC management, hunting progression, Pokémon information, spawn alerts, native integrations and server optimizations.
  • PokeSnacks Controls: better control over Poké Snack limits, standby queues, attraction effects and balancing while preserving Cobblemon's native system.
  • Create: Advanced Optimization: dedicated optimization and diagnostic systems for large Create factories, packages, logistics networks, trains and processing chains.
  • Pokemon Fly Transitions: cinematic Pokémon-inspired transitions for supported teleports and travel systems.
  • Rustling Spots: Team Rocket Addon: Jessie and James can now interrupt Rustling Spot encounters and challenge players with dynamically generated Team Rocket battles.

These new projects join the growing collection of custom Cobblemon Realms systems already used throughout the modpack.

🏛️ Legendary Monuments & A New Era of Exploration

Cobblemon Realms v6.0 introduces Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments, dramatically expanding the way Legendary and Mythical Pokémon can be discovered.

Instead of simply waiting for an extremely rare Pokémon to appear, Legendary Monuments introduces unique structures, special items and dedicated summoning mechanics built around individual Legendary encounters.

Depending on the Pokémon, your journey may involve collecting clues or footprints, finding special monuments, crafting ancient items, gathering Pokémon souls, navigating labyrinths, solving challenges or completing other unique requirements before the encounter can begin.

The system includes dedicated mechanics for a huge selection of Pokémon, including Pokémon such as Zacian, Zamazenta, the Swords of Justice, the Legendary Birds, the Legendary Beasts, the Regis, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Darkrai, Cresselia, Celebi, Mew, the Lake Guardians, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Arceus, Xerneas, Yveltal and many more.

Legendary Monuments is only one part of the exploration expansion.

Many additional dedicated structures have also been introduced throughout Cobblemon Realms v6.0, giving exploration, Pokémon encounters, progression and special events far more physical locations to discover across your worlds.

Legendary hunting is becoming an adventure of its own.

🚀 Team Rocket Has Arrived

Prepare for trouble.

The new custom Rustling Spots: Team Rocket Addon brings Jessie and James into the Cobblemon Realms exploration loop.

When investigating a Rustling Spot, there is now a rare chance for Jessie or James to suddenly appear and intercept the encounter.

  • Added rare Jessie and James interruptions to Rustling Spots.
  • Added custom Team Rocket NPC appearances.
  • Added randomized and iconic Team Rocket dialogue.
  • Added character-inspired Pokémon pools for Jessie and James.
  • Trainer strength dynamically adapts to the player's current Pokémon team.
  • Team sizes and compositions can vary between encounters.

  • Added dedicated victory rewards.
  • Stronger Pokémon and evolutions become available as trainer levels increase.
  • Separate cooldowns are used for victories, defeats, disconnects and abandoned encounters.

If a Team Rocket battle cannot start correctly, the original Rustling Spot encounter continues normally instead of being lost.

🏟️ Arena & League Progression

  • Arena entry reactivation no longer uses a timer after leaving an arena.
  • Arena entry blocks now rearm only after the player steps onto another block and then returns.
  • Random tick speed is now forced to 0 only inside arena dimensions so foliage and arena blocks remain stable.

  • Improved Badge Box tooltips with Region, Gym Leader, Type, order and obtain date.

⚔️ Pokémon Battles, XP & AI

  • Added an action bar queue so XP notifications appear one after another instead of replacing each other.
  • Trainer battle Pokémon XP is now awarded immediately after a KO instead of only at the end of the fight.
  • Player XP and Pokémon XP notifications now have separate display options.
  • Reworked global Pokémon XP calculations to better follow the official Pokémon experience process.
  • When a wild Pokémon is defeated by the player's Pokémon, every eligible Pokémon that dealt damage and did not faint can receive EXP.
  • EXP distribution is affected by the number of participating Pokémon, while EV gains are not divided by participant count.
  • Wild Pokémon now attempt to target the last entity that attacked them.
  • Added support for Cobblemon Size Variation in Pokémon aggression calculations.
  • Larger Pokémon can be more aggressive by default, with new configuration options available for adjustment.
  • Re-enabled the Pokémon flight mechanic. Current behavior may still be affected by recent changes to Cobblemon's Pokémon AI.

💙 Thank You for 150,000 Downloads

Cobblemon Realms has changed enormously since its first release.

Version 6.0 represents an important step toward making the modpack more than a collection of compatible mods. More systems are now developed specifically around the experience I want Cobblemon Realms to provide, while major community projects such as Legendary Monuments allow exploration and Legendary progression to become deeper than ever before.

Between the five new custom mods, Team Rocket, Legendary Monuments, new structures, dungeon reworks, the Rotom Phone, new Pokémon content, updated riding systems, major loot changes and extensive technical improvements, there is a huge amount of new content waiting to be discovered.

Thank you to everyone who plays the modpack, reports issues, sends suggestions, creates content, supports the project and helps the Cobblemon Realms community continue to grow.

150,000 downloads later, the next chapter begins.

Welcome to Cobblemon Realms v6.0.
