Altered Worlds

Altered Worlds is a modpack focused around exploration, adventure, and the overall PVE aspect of the game. There are tons of new biomes, structures, dungeons, loot, bosses, and more for the player to explore through out their journey. Aspects from different mods make Altered Worlds a very challenging modpack. Good luck!

Features

Major Features:

Mob spawners now reward loot when broken! The rewards will vary between several items and amounts
Random spawn radius of 5,000 blocks when spawn point is not set
Skill locks! You must have the required skills to use specific weapons, equip armor, and mine or use blocks and items
Items and baubles that give the player various effects, resistances, and buffs.
Structure and dungeons generating all throughout the world, varying by biome and dimension
Abundance of new equipment to find and craft throughout the world
Equipment modifiers that can be reforged in a smithing table
New hostile mobs with some having unique attack patterns
New passive mobs including new animals almost everywhere
New bosses to defeat and receive useful loot from
Many new crops and food to cook and harvest
Enhanced physics and sounds
New enchantment books to add to equipment
All new potions with different effects
Completely overhauled caves and underground structures
Brand new biomes found in all dimensions
Overhauled nether and end dimension
Minor and major gameplay tweaks for a better experience overall

Summary

In development for several months, Altered Worlds is a modpack that stands out from the rest. It targets the adventure and exploration aspects of Minecraft and enhances it. With all new dungeons, structures, dimensions, items, and mobs to defeat, you will always be on your feet. Not only is it challenging, it provides a new experience different from the original game. With new additions overhauling progression, it will not be as easy. Start with nothing, chop down your first tree with a new set of flint tools, and the rest is up to you. Will you adventure to new biomes and dimensions? What about taking down skilled foes and bosses? Will you clear dungeons and structures of their valuable loot and challenging monsters? Or maybe build an epic base? Why not do it all.

Progression

Early Game Start:

Spawn into the world in a random location
Dying will spawn you in a 5,000 block radius if a spawn point is not set
No tree punching
Forage for flint from gravel
Craft a flint dagger and cut grass for plant fiber
Use a flint hatchet to cut down a tree
Craft basic tools
Used gained xp to level up skills, allowing you to use specific equipment
Don't be afraid to craft lower tier equipment before reaching things like iron gear
Exploring is key, find different structures and low tier dungeons early game
Make use of the new variants of vanilla weapons and shields added, as they can be useful in different situations
Scout out around your base to make sure its safe, Dragons are very common.
